Madame Alexander Dolls

This is a vintage Madame Alexander Wendy-Kins (or Alexanderkins) 8 Nurse doll, still in her original box. The brochure that is included does not use zip codes, so this dates it to pre-1963. The doll is a hard plastic, bent-knee walker. She has a blonde wig and dark blue sleep eyes. Her nurses uniform consists of a white cotton, short-sleeved dress with a white cotton pinafore on top that ties in the back. The Madame Alexander Alexander-kins tag is sewn on the inside of the dress. Also included is a nurse’s hat that has navy trim sewn to the brim. She has beige fuzzy tie shoes and white socks. She has a plastic baby. Dressed in a lace gown and cap, tied to her wrist. I did not undress the doll for pictures, because it appears that the clothes have never been removed. The ties on the pinafore and the shoes look original. Clothes have original crispness. A Madame Alexander brochure of other dolls available is included. There is also a white cloth that looks like a doll bed sheet that was folded in the bottom of the box. It has a tag that says Utica. I don’t think this came with the doll, but I will leave it in the box. There is also some white tissue paper inside the box. Doll is in excellent condition and may have been stored in the box all these years. One curl on the wig wants to come loose, but other than that, I don’t see any flaws. Doll is very clean. The box is in fair condition. Sides are dented in and there are tears in the box lid edge. For those who care, items are stored in a non-smoking environment. Mint in Box.
