Madame Alexander Dolls

Featured here is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Binnie Winnie Walker doll dressed as a bride on a saddle stand. She will come to you as dressed, with the saddle stand so that she will be ready to display on arrival. The gown and veil are an early 1950s original American Character bride gown with matching veil. The veil is in amazing condition for its age, with no holes, rips, tears or stains. It has a lace cap with pleated lace around the cap, and it is pinned to her hair with doll bobby pins. She carries a bouquet of resin call lilies handmade from the Orient. She will come to you with the graduated vintage pearl necklace and handmade lace finger gloves, as shown. I have added replacement light tan ankle strap leatherette shoes, with brown stitched leatherette soles. She has a sweet matching vintage cotton slip and cotton panties — both trimmed in soft vintage lace. She stands 24 inches tall and her “walker” mechanism works well, when you move her legs, her head turns from side to side. Her lovely light eye color is enhanced by the beautiful ivory bridal gown and veil. She has her original red lips and light blush on her cheeks. Her hair is the original strawberry blonde wig in its original set with curls and wavy bangs. One leg is slightly lighter in color than the other — see the photo of her legs, with her slip and panties. There are also a couple small holes in her vintage satin gown, but they are hidden under the vintage lace overskirt (see last photo). The lace overskirt features little bows and a scalloped hem, which rises and dips in lovely long points over the satin gown. The dress is edged in the same soft vintage lace as the veil. The bridal cap is lace and trimmed in pleated soft lace; and the cap is pinned to her wig with doll bobby pins. The veil hangs beautifully from the cap and struts out around her as she stands. I have had this doll kept in my SMOKE FREE and PET FREE home in a darkened doll room on display, and she has never been played with. I take great care to wrap and pack my dolls so that they do not move around in transit. Featured here is a vintage Madame Alexander 24 inch Binnie Winnie Walker doll; she is dressed in a lovely navy blue check cotton dress, with ruffled rick rack cotton slip, cotton panties and a white velvet lined coat with Navy grosgrain ribbon accents. She wears a wonderful vintage straw bonnet, of tightly woven molded straw, accented with a navy blue grosgrain ribbon and ties. Tiny vintage fabric flowers are on the top. This doll wears a beautiful vintage necklace of graduated pearls that closes with a very old metal clasp; it holds nicely and is the perfect size for her. She carries a miniature Williamsburg China plate ornament, with its original tag and satin ribbon hang loop; the plate is dated 2006 and is from Shields Tavern at Williamsburg and features wonderful fish, a tree and tavern on the plate. Its colors compliment her outfit beautifully. I have added replacement white patent looking ankle strap shoes with tiny bows on the toes. NOTE: In response to a question about her hair and request for photos of the back of her head under the hat, I have added a couple photos. Her wig is thick and in its original set, not messy or missing — a beautiful dark golden blonde in wonderful curls. This doll is a walker, i. When you move her legs her head turns to the side and then back to the front. Her walker mechanism works well. She has wonderful large green blue eyes, all her eyes lashes, painted brown 2-stroke brows, strawberry blonde hair, deep red rosebud painted lips and rosy cheeks. NOTE: The doll stand is not included in this listing; it is very heavy metal and only used for taking photos. These dolls can stand well leaning against a wall, couch, etc. Because they have large flat feet and can balance quite well. This doll has been part of my personal collection, kept in a darkened doll room in a SMOKE FREE and PET FREE home. She shows no sign of sun fading. She has no odor and is very clean; a flaw of note is that her one leg, the left leg, is slightly lighter in color than the right leg. Her left arm and hand are also slightly lighter in color than her right but do not show under her outfit. Up for sale is this GORGEOUS and VERY RARE 18 Mary Louise doll from the Me and My Shadow series from 1954, EXTREMELY RARE Yellow gloves. She is a very hard doll to find, but much, much more rare is to find her with her Yellow striped “kid gloves”. She is a beautiful doll with a Cissy face, and amazing golden yellow braids that are pinned up with shiny perfect curls at each cheek. Her eyes are a lovely blue, she has full eyelashes, lovely eye shadow, two stroke brows and pink lips. Her blush is pretty too, though she does have what looks like a tiny rub on her left cheek. She is wearing her original full-skirted burnt orange taffeta dress with crisp tag, black trim at neckline, bust and at her wrists. Her original olive green wool Jacket and hat with cream trim, rickrack and adorned with a few tiny metal flowers at the small of her back and on top of her head, are in excellent condition as well. No moth holes in the wool that I can see. Her hat is kept on her head by a lovely mustard yellow velvet ribbon nicely and are in excellent condition as well. Her light cream taffeta underskirt/hoop-slip is still crisp, as are her pantaloons. Her black velvet shoes are in excellent condition with fuzzy soles. She also has her black and gold hatbox in lovely condition. She doesn’t have odors and comes from a smoke free home.
