He is very rare. He has a few issues His hat is not original to him. He came without a hat so i manage to fine him a tricone that fits him very nice. Its made out of velveteen Next his boots disintegrated. He has on what is left. I glued a new bottom on which doesn’t fit the best but gives a good look. Next his tights stained his lower body. His tights are not included You dont see when he is dressed. He wears an original camel colored coat with original gold buttons on the cuffs and coat and on the back where the coat panels attached to each other gold silk lining with two side buttons and five stitch buttonholes. A beautiful French long sleeve ruffled white blouse with copper and gold brocade vest with original gold buttons braided trim Pockets with gold button decor. Original Brown velvet pants tuck under boots there are knee high in length. He is a 21 inch twist body, brown sleep eyes, original white braided wig. These three dogs came to my collection with “LOUIS” never having been removed from their original box. They were stacked one on top of the other—so their ears tended to “fly away”. I have added “pearl” pins on the underside of each ear to hold them closer to their heads in more natural positions. Pins can easily be removed. HOUNDS ARE WELL STITCHED—A “SUEDE” FEEL FABRIC—AND EACH DOG HAS ITS ORIGINAL 2004 MADAME ALEXANDER TAG stitched on the center underside seam. THESE 3 DOGS AND THIS DOLL were originally part of a pair of Pompadour Dolls—”FALL POMPADOUR” PAIR—resembling the “FOX HUNTING ATTIRE” OF KING LOUIS XV. I added earrings to this doll because my research indicated that KING LOUIS XV wore earrings! They can easily be removed should you so choose—I actually really prefer him WITH THE BLACK EARRINGS—THEY ADD ELEGANCE and are a CONTRAST TO HIS WHITE WIG! Judy Garland Meet Me in St. Louis by Madame Alexander Doll. This Judy Garland doll depicting the Meet me in St. Louis Classic Movie doll was made in 2002 by Madame Alexander. The doll is perfect – has been displayed only, removed from her box for display and pictures only. This doll was licensed from Global Icons and the Estate of Judy Garland. It was created in collaboration with Judy Garland’s daughters; Liza Minnelli and Lorna Luft to assure a true likeness and faithful costume reproduction. She’s dressed in a reproduction of a costume from the beloved movie; a white dress overlaid with sheer dotted swiss. The accessories are a broad white picture hat adorned with a silver rhinestone buckle and a matching white parasol. She measures 16 tall. Comes with papers of authenticity.
