Madame Alexander Dolls

This is a beautiful 1960 Belle of the Ball Cissy doll by Madame Alexander. She needs the help of a good seamstress to restore the gown and the slip to its original glory. Once that is done she will make a stunning example of one of Madame Alexander’s most desirable Cissy dolls. The photos show the destroyed layers of tulle and netting on her skirt section as well as broken tulle on the sleeves and on the bodice. Cissy’s outfit will need a full restoration, but I know there are expert seamstresses out there who can and should tackle this project to bring her back to her full glory. The crinoline fabric on the slip is also fragile and is cracking in several places so replacing that will also be desirable. I also found the purple ribbon that will recreate her original hairbow which is included. Cissy has so much going for her. Her hair, although a bit mussed, is still in its original set. She wears her original earrings. She has no seam splits and is strung snugly. Her face coloring is nice and clear and her eyes are blue. She wears her original panties with only very slightly loose elastic at the waist, stockings that seem to have a yellowish tone to them so I don’t know if they are original but she came wearing them, and her original lilac strappy heels with elastic that is still pretty snug. The best part of this doll besides her beauty is the wonderful condition of the floral swag and shoulder bouquets of pink roses and white buttercups. The gown still has its original Cissy tag. She also wears her original lilac mitts/gauntlets. I seem to recall that she came to me wearing a clear rhinestone ring as there is a darkening on her ring finger but it is no longer there. All original and Gorgeous 1953 Beaux Art Queen Elizabeth coronation doll in excellent condition. This beauty is 18 inches and absolutely complete. Her hair is exquisite, her dress is divine and she comes with her fur cape and hat box. Her face coloring is bright and beautiful. She has all her jewelry and white fingerless gloves, and even her sash has all its jewels hard to find this doll this complete! Her gorgeous brocade dress is clean and crisp with no stains, odors, fading or tearing. Her hair is still perfectly placed in its original set and her finger curls are crisp and beautiful, molded around her elegant crown. Her facial painting is bright and perfect. Her blush is gorgeous! The only tiny imperfection I can find is some very slight fading on one eyebrow. She is wearing white fingerless gloves with her original bracelets–all jewels intact. She also has her original drop pear earrings and her jeweled blue sash. Take a close look at her sash, it has all its original jewels on it!!!! It’s hard to find this doll in this exquisite condition and so complete. She has on her original slip and shoes and comes with her soft white cape and black hat box. From the original owner comes such a beautiful 21 Madame Alexander Cissy Doll #2285 from 1958. Dressed in her original red taffeta gown with a tulle stole covering her hair and draping to the hem. She has sleep eyes, full lashes and rosy cheeks. There are no chips or cracks in the hard plastic. This doll was in storage for ages and as you can see from the photos the red stains are on the doll, slip and panties. The elastic on the slip is stretched out. The original owner took good care of her dolls as a child so the unique hair style is still in its original style with the red bow on top. The silver heels are still nice as are her earrings and necklace. The gown was never laundered. There is some goo? On one side as shown in photo. Also there are some very light aged spots here and there. I see no rips or tears in the gown or tulle stole. Issues: Stains on body and needs cleaning… Stains on slip & the elastic stretched out… Stains & spot on panties… Some small aged spots on face. She is all original with full lashes, rosy cheeks, unique hair style, no chips or cracks, legs move and knees bend…. Original earrings and necklace. Not perfect but a wonderful find! This week and next we’re presenting several Alexander-kins dolls and clothing from an estate collection. This gorgeous early strung ballerina is all original and just stunning. She is wearing an excellent condition pink tutu and matching panties that have great color and shine with no stains or tears. I have found no holes in the double layer of netting and it sits out so beautifully. Her shoes are fuzzy bottom ballet shoes also in great condition. Her flowers are factory sewn in to her hair at the sides. The doll herself has all original coloring which is beautiful, and no stains or cracks to her body. She’s one beautiful ballerina! Cissy is ready for an afternoon of shopping and lunch with the girls. This is a beautiful example of a 20 inch 1956 Madame Alexander Cissy #2012 in a tagged pink taffeta drop waist dress with original hat and shoes. The dress is in lovely condition. It has not been washed and has been steamed to remove most of the wrinkles. There is a little surface dirt, but you really have to look for it and as you can see it does not show. The dress retains it’s color throughout with no fading, rips or repairs. The hat is original and is in great condition with no issues other than the original flowers have aged a bit. The netting is intact with no holes. The shoes are original and in good shape. The wide elastic is tight, but the narrow elastic has stretched. I have tucked it into the wide elastic for display. She has her vintage slip and panties. The elastic has stretched some on both, but not bad and still stay up on her body. Her nylons are vintage and in good shape. Her body has no splits or repairs, just the usual rub marks at the inside top of the legs and inside the head at the neck. Her face paint is delicate with delicate blush. She is clean and has no bad odors. Her eyes have all of the eyelashes and are a blue green color. Her hair still retains some of the original setting gel and is soft and shiny and held in place with a dolly net and pins. Her accessories include a pearl necklace, pink rhinestone ring, pink gloves and a black and gold hat box. Cissy loves to accessorize and refuses to leave here without them. An adorable vintage Doll by Madame Alexander from 1953 – 1954. She is 7.5 inches tall, has working sleep eyes, and is a straight leg non walker doll. Wendy Ann is in all original condition, which is very near perfect, since she has spent all her life displayed in her box. Her clothing has no tears, holes, stains, etc. The front of the dress is a little faded and back of the dress is a little darker blue; the elastic on her precious hat and the elastic in her short half slip are stretched. Her perfect triple stitched blond wig is in its original curl. This sweet doll wears fuzzy bottomed white side snap shoes and socks.
