Madame Alexander Dolls

This is outfit #376 of 1953 and one of the first 8 Wendys. She can be seen in Pat Smith’s World of Alexander-kins on Page 14. This Wendy is a SL- straight leg non walker. Her back is marked Alex. It is hard to believe she is 63 years old, and she is so precious. She is a blonde and her wig is triple-stitched. Her facial color is very nice and her sleep eyes work well. Wendy is wearing white organdy pantaloons, a half slip with lace at the bottom hem, white socks and white side-snap shoes. Her pink and white check cotton dress has small white rick-rack trim and it is very full. It has whit satin ribbon straps over the shoulders. She is wearing a white cotton pique jacket which has a flared peplum, cotton lace trim, and ties in front with white satin ribbon. There is a slight stain on the left side of the skirt which may come out. It hasn’t been laundered. I have shown it in the pictures. It isn’t too noticeable because of the fullness of the skirt. The hat is not original, but it is cuter than the original – at least I think so. It has a chin strap. I have included a picture of the original. Other than the stain on the skirt, I see nothing wrong – no rips, tears, holes, etc. She is in an Alexander box but it is not her original. Smoke and pet-free home. This is a vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll with box. The box is marked 2180. The box is in fair condition. The doll has unusual body as the arms are not jointed at the elbows. The head is in excellent condition as the net around the face, hat and wig look mint. The hat and net have never been removed. The face paint is superb. The yellow gown is tagged. The rest of the clothing is 100% original. She is however, missing one cameo earring. The shoes do have loose elastic. The HP body has no stains or cracks. The knees bend well. The doll is from a nonsmoking home and has no other unpleasant odors. This beautiful rare doll is being offered with NO RESERVE. All sales are final.
