Madame Alexander Vintage Cissy Doll 20 Hard Plastic 1950s Blonde in Gown

Cissy pays tribute to another great 1950s icon as she steps out in her new platinum blonde wig and her vintage black velvet torso gown looking every bit as glamorous as Marilyn Monroe herself. This 20 Cissy doll has been repaired and redressed and is now ready for a new home. Cissy did not have a wig when I found her. So she has been provided with a lovely new synthetic mohair wig that has been custom styled to resemble an authentic Cissy style. Splits in her left leg, at her knee joint and her hip, have been repaired and are now only detectable if you really go looking for them. Her only remaining flaws are some uneveness in the paint on her torso–again, only really noticeable if you’re specifically looking for it, and some thinning of the eyelashes on her right eye. She still has eyelashes all the way across the eye. They just aren’t as full as those on her left eye. Also, her green sleep eyes occasionally stick closed and need a little help to reopen. Other than these rather minor issues, Cissy is in great condition and ready for display. She has been redressed in an asymmetrically cut gown of black velvet and tulle. The gown is lined in pink satin and ornamented with a pink rose at the dropped waistline. Multiple layers of attached tulle petticoats provide fullness under the skirt, and the top layer of the skirt is embroidered with black on black flowers. I believe this is the gown from the 1996 “Onyx Velvet and Lace” modern Cissy doll, although it is not tagged. Black satin panties, black lace-topped seamed stockings, and vintage Cissy-style black high heels complete her ensemble. Oh, and of course no tribute to Marilyn Monroe would be complete with the finishing touch of a “diamond” necklace. This wonderful vintage Cissy doll is all dressed and ready for display.
