For sale is this Beautiful 18 Near Mint, Madame Alexander Ballerina. Her coloring is fantastic, her eyes are blue with thick, full eyelashes, and her eyes open and close as they should. Her hair is shiny and still in original up-do. The Roses and velvety flowers in her hair are still AMAZING. She has matching flowers on her shoulder, at her waist and on her wrist as a corsage. She has her original black necklace. Her salmon pink and gold outfit is outstanding. The tag is crisp and perfect, all of the tulle is still stiff, as is the pink satin bodice, and all the gold trimming is still rather sparkly. Her matching pink satin panties are perfect. Her original shoes are lovely as well. The only real “flaw” I can see is a tiny bit of darkening of glue on a couple of the roses. MOST of the roses are GORGEOUS. She comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Please ask questions, as I may have missed something important to you. Here is your chance to own an iconic creation from Madame Alexander. Seriously, this doll is a joy to own. When a collector is lucky enough to find one they simply do not let them go! LADY IN RED, is simply a stunning piece of art. This doll has a presence about her… She knows her place in the doll room! She is identified by her signature wig. It does not disappoint!!! Beautifully blonde with an elaborate sea of curls. Another feature is the high arched brows that are seen on certain dolls from 1958. Condition: Reblushed and lips are retouched. Slight cracks high in the hip cavity. Clothing: Original panties and hoop slip. It is made of a heavy taffeta and lined in the same fabric. Dramatic box pleats add to the fullness. Dress has some fading at the top of the bodice which is covered by the tulle stole. One water spot in front, also covered by the tulle. Doll is wearing a replaced tulle stole with flocked polka-dots. Accessories: She is wearing her distinctive and original pearl choker. She has her vintage snowflake pin. She is wearing her original Diamond ring. She has her original red velvet hairbow, but is pictured wearing a replacement one made from vintage ribbon. She will come with both. I believe earrings are replaced. Her tagged dress is yellow pongee silk with pink roses, lace trim on the sleeves, attached black ribbon sash and a little black cameo at the neckline. Under the gorgeous dress is an original yellow lace slip and yellow taffeta undies. Her black straw hat with yellow flowers is correct for this dress. She has her vintage nylon stockings, Madame Alexander hat box, pearl drop earrings and black high heels. The elastic is stretched just a little on her heels. I have added a reproduction Cissy wrist tag and pearl bracelet. Cissy has a beautiful matte finish face with clear eyes and nice pink cheeks. Her blonde wig is in the original set and is one of the most mint I have ever seen with the hair net and bar across the top. She has no cracks or splits on her body and no odors. She is really a lovely doll. Her full-skirted, tagged gown with Blue embossed flowers and vines is made of crisp polished cotton, and is trimmed with lovely white ball trim. Her dress does have a couple small spots/areas with light yellow aging. Her bonnet is a stiff black taffeta edged in black lace and adorned with a lovely white ostrich feather. She has on her blue gloves and carries her black madame Alexander Hat box. Her Coloring is outstanding; her eyebrows, blushing, soft eyeshadow, bright lips etc. Her Eyes are a vibrant sky blue that matches the blue in her dress nicely. She has long, thick eyelashes, and shiny perfect curls in original set. She wears a white hoopslip with attached lace-edged panties, which is unwashed and still bright, but shows a few little holes near the hem. Her original net stockings are in beautiful condition, and her black velvet shoes are still nice too (with one shoe sole showing a touch more wear than the other). Comes from a smoke and pet-free home. She isn’t 100% mint, but over all in very beautiful condition, and a great example of a VERY hard to finds blue variation of the Edwardian Glamour Girl. Up for sale is this GORGEOUS and Rare 18 Mary Louise from Madame Alexander’s Me and My Shadow series from 1954, with rare yellow gloves. She is A very rare and hard to find doll. I have been told much, much more rare is finding her with her Yellow striped gloves! She is a beautiful doll, with a Cissy face, and amazing golden yellow braids that are pinned up with shiny perfect curls at each cheek. Her eyes are a lovely blue, she has full eyelashes, lovely eye shadow, two stroke brows and pink lips. Her blush is pretty too, though she does have a “rub” on her left cheek. She is wearing a full-skirted burnt orange taffeta dress with crisp tag, black trim at neckline, bust and at her wrists. Her original olive green wool jacket and hat with cream trim, rickrack and adorned with a few tiny metal flowers at the small of her back and on the top of her head, are in excellent condition as well. No moth holes that I can see. Her hat is kept on her head by a lovely mustard yellow velvet ribbon which wraps around her braids and over her head. Her yellow gloves with black stripes match the yellow ribbon nicely and are in excellent condition as well. Her light cream taffeta underskirt/hoop-slip is still crisp, as are her pantaloons. Her black velvet shoes are in excellent condition with fuzzy soles. She also has her black and gold hatbox in lovely condition. She comes from a smoke and pet free home.
