Madame Alexander Dolls

This stunning vintage tagged Alexander Cissy dress is the very rare lavender model of the dress pictured in Kiley Shaws wonderful Cissy book, on page 60. This dress has very pale polka dots which do show up more pronounced in my picture than they do on the actual dress. The lavender is very soft, when I put it next to a pink dress you can see its evenly pale lavender all over. When I put it next to Elise little purple hat, you can still see its pale lavender. You can see in my picture of the slip that the dress is a lavender next to the quite pink slip, so I do not believe this dress to be a pink faded, I believe this dress to be what I have presented it as. You will need to make up your own mind on that of course. It ties in back with a wide soft bow of the same material, and does up in back with 4 square snaps. No rips, holes or tears in this dress, and I have not washed it. Im fairly certain it would have been gently laundered at some stage in. Its 65 year life, its hard to tell because the tag colour still looks clean and clearly read. Sleeve elastic still holds firm, Im not sure if this has been replaced at some stage, if so its been very well done. At some stage, the petticoat has had extra elastic cord added to tighten a loose waist line. And ask questions if I have left out something important to you. For your consideration a gorgeous 1957 Madame Alexander Wendy Ann #434. She is 8 tall and is Hard Plastic Bend Knee Walker. She has blonde hair and bluish/greenish eyes. She is dress in her original yellow checked taffeta gown, She wears taffeta pantaloons and a taffeta slip. Black jacket, black hat with feathers and net carries a black reticule (handbag, pocketbook) tagged gown. She wears round rhinestone earrings. Her body is clean and free from smells cracks, splits, scratches. Her sleep eyes work as they should. Her gown, jacket and reticule are in excellent condition. No tears, discolorations, or stains. She wears black velvety shoes that snap to the sides and have fuzzy bottoms, they show a bit of wearing.
