Vtg 1957 Madame Alexander Cissy #2146 in Blue Taffeta Dress Outfit GORGEOUS. This is a Vintage Cissy Madame Alexander Doll. All Original I believe (wrist tag string still on wrist). Dispalyed for many years. She has her Hat, Earrings, necklace, Bracelet, Stockings Undies, Slip, shoes, dress and shawl. Shoes have the elastic stretched as usual. As is the elastic on the undies and skirt. Tag on dress still very nice. She is in fantastic condition. Some small marks on her wrist from the bracelet. The shawl is also in nice condition, just dirty from dust (I did not try and clean it) White always traps the dirt.. And ask any questions of things I may have forgotten to mention. This dolls heels came off, like so many do. Its a easy fix to glue them back on. I put the heels in a ziplock, see pictures. A nice fellow eBayer pointed out the black spots on her neck from the necklace. This same eBayer asked about staining under her garters and panties. I looked and There is staining which I have been told is very common. If anyone knows how to get rid of it, please let me know. Please look at photos for full description. Doll stand not included. This doll is from an estate of a large doll collector. She kept her dolls behind glass in a room with blinds drawn. I have 57 Cissy’s to list. Some are still new in the box. This is Scarlett O’Hara by Madame Alexander, circa 1940′s. She is all composition and stands approx. She comes complete with her original tagged gown and coat, slip with hoop, pantaloons, shoes, socks and hat. Her original wig is in very nice condition with original barrettes. Her face is shiny and clean. There is a very small pinpoint mark under her left eye, mentioned for accuracy. Her eyes are cloudy. She has full eyelashes. There is light and hard to see crazing here and there on her face. Her body is very nice with no cracks, rubs or chips. There is light crazing on her body and limbs. She comes with her original rare tagged coat and tagged dress. The jacket has light fading and three pinhead sized holes. One button has been re-sewn. Her dress is a little wrinkled and could use ironing. There are a couple of pinhead sized tone marks. There are three pinhead sized holes. Her slip is toned and some scattered foxing. The pantaloons are nice. They are stretched at the waist and have a couple of foxing spots. Her shoes are nice but missing some pieces on the very bottom of the soles (see photos). Her hat is nice. Cissy also wears a vintage PEARL NECKLACE most likely made by The Premier Doll Company, who Madame Alexander used to outfit Cissy with various accessories including jewelry and purses! To complete her outfit Cissy has a vintage faux DIAMOND RING that she wears on her pinkie, adding a little bit of glitz to an already GLAMOROUS GIRL! Cissy’s body is simply AMAZING; jointed at the neck and arms at the top of the torso, elbows and hand, and jointed legs at the hip and knees, which still retain a light blushing! Her head, FEMALE SHAPED torso and legs are made of HARD PLASTIC; her arms and hands are of soft plastic or vinyl for easy posing! She is marked at the back of the neck “ALEXANDER”, and has no apparent splitting at the seams or tops of her legs which are also common to this doll——Cissy is in overall DISPLAY READY condition ready to be dressed by her next lucky owner!
