The doll is in great shape as you can see in the photos. This 20″ Cissy is style #2094 from the 1955 collection of Madame Alexander dolls called “A Child’s Dream Comes True. ” She is described in the catalogue as wearing “a breathtaking gown of heavy champagne slipper satin. Her muff of matching nylon tulle is decorated with ruby red roses. Her necklace and earrings of rhinestones and topaz. (note that she is missing her earrings) Beneath the gown, she has a champagne yellow hoop petticoat and matching panties, hose and high heel shoes. This doll is hard to find, especially to find her with necklace, muff, tagged dress, hose and shoes! Her hair and coloring are excellent and her sleepy eyes close when horizontal. While she displays beautifully for a 63 year old lady. I want to describe as much as I can. She would be the perfect candidate for a Cissy spa to spruce her up to museum quality! She has some flaws which I want to point out. She is missing her. Earrings, her gown has a few stains that need attention, Her Petticoat is in the roughest shape with holes and the hoop is way out of shape due to storing her flat for years. Her dress is tagged and her petticoat elastic is still strong enough to hold it up well. I have added many photos. But will send you more if there is something that you would like to see. I would like her to find a new home where she can get the care and attention she needs. She will be double boxed for ultimate protection and insured up to the the sale price. Her original JET BLACK wig is made of either human hair or mohair; hard to tell for sure as it is still glossy and in its ORIGINAL SET! Her beautiful bluish green eyes have just slightly clouded over the years, but still relatively in good condition compared to others we have seen, and they are framed by all of her original dark eyelashes with subtly smoked eye shadow! You will love this fabulous and amazing doll; we almost kept her for ourselves! Scarlett comes with her FACTORY ORIGINAL BOX, albeit with some wear especially to the lid, retaining its original and correct paper label and remnants of old paper tissue! 1957 Madame Alexander Cissy Bride doll , 20 tall, hard plastic doll, jointed elbows and knees, high heel feet, sleep eyes and nice, shinny red hair in original set. She has full lashes and open/close blue eyes. Her facial coloring is wonderful and she is wearing pearl drop earrings and engagement ring. Her original wedding gown is tagged “Cissy” and is satin with lots of tulle. I did see one small discoloration on her satin train (Please look at all the picture) but there are no holes that I could find. Her panties elastic is still tight as I needed to check her hips for splits. She does not have any splits anywhere. She is wearing her original silver heels and white gloves. She comes with her bouquet (Flowers in bouquet match flowers in her veil). I truly wish I could post more pictures to show the exquisite condition that this lovely doll has been kept. She is truly a find and worthy of the finest collection. This doll is as well. The owner of this doll before me saw the beauty and kept her absolutely original as if she were delivered new today. I must admit I collect Cissy dolls but only move more to the fashion end and love to rescue these premier Dolls with one of a kind Gowns and and Accessories. Please ask for more pictures if needed. This 1956 bride is wearing a gorgeous original tagged gown of pleated tulle, with a lace bodice and trimmed with pearls at the neckline. A pale pink sash at the waist is trimmed with a circle of pearls on each side. Her headpiece is trimmed with pale pink flowers. Although she is showing her age, she is still in very good condition at 62 years old. She is still wearing her engagement ring, and garter on her right leg. Her shoes are original but badly stretched out. The only thing that may not be original is her slip. It looks like it has either been added, or the original may have been modified to give more fluff to her gown?? Not sure what the original slip looked like but this one has a strip of lace sewn only halfway around the inside which tells me it has been changed or modified in some way. Also I searched very carefully for flaws and found two small holes in the tulle, one in her gown and one in her veil. They are hard to find, especially on the skirt as it is buried in the pleats. There is also a streak of something on the tulle that appears to be some kind of substance that dried on it. (See picture) It looks like it would come off if carefully soaked or sponged, but I didn’t try it. It is not really noticeable and is located on the lower right side slightly toward the back of the dress. All in all, this doll seems to be in very good condition for her age, and would make a beautiful addition to any collection! Feel free to message me with any questions.
