Margaret faced “Margot Ballerina” by Madame Alexander. Believe this dates to 1954. #1850 of the 1954 Madame Alexander catalog. Her hair is waved away from her face and secured at the back in her original hair net. Spanner bar on top of head. Dark blonde hair is accented with pink and white flowers. Pink Satin and tulle costume is accented with sparkly rhinestones on the bodice. Pink satin slippers with satin ties. Head turns from side to side when arms are moved. Eyes close when laid down. They do open and close fine. Faint stray mark on upper right arm and one on her left shoulder. Super faint stray marks on upper chest and on upper back. Madame Alexander Lavenesque Yardley Cissy 2003 LE 350 Rare NRFB! In the 1950s, Yardley of London made a series of advertisements featuring Madame Alexander Cissy dolls! This Cissy is part of a series of dolls re-creating the dolls used in those ads. This Lavenesque Yardley Cissy has red hair in an updo, and is wearing a black sleeveless dress with velvet bodice and bow detail at the waist, and a luxurious coat with faux fur collar and rhinestone buttons. Rhinestone earrings, hat with four leaf clover rhinestone detail, hose, black gloves and black open-toes shoes complete the outfit. Also included is an amazing 50s styled 3 legged table (removable legs, which is how it fits in the box), with a bowl, cup, and spoon, all just as shown in the original ad! Lavenesque Yardly Cissy is a fully articulated, 21 doll with 8 points of articulation at the neck, waist, hips, knees, and shoulders. She was produced in 2003 in a very limited edition of only 350 dolls. Her COA says she is #264/350. She has a special wrist tag showing the original Yardley ad. She is rare and exceedingly hard to find, especially brand new and never removed from the original box. This Madame Alexander doll carries on the tradition of The Alexander Doll Company, which has been known for its elegant and beautifully costumed dolls for over 90 years. Lavenesque Yardly Cissy #36085, a doll by Madame Alexander, comes to you factory fresh, NRFB (never removed from her original box) and she is pristine mint; box has minor shelf wear and one small corner dent. She also wears an original MA Cissy hat pictured on page #240. The horsehair pill box hat adorned with roses and tulle is also lovely. They are both VHTF boxed extras. She is a very pretty girl. High color no cracks splits or odors. Beautiful blue eyes with all of her original eyelashes, rosy cheeks, ruby red lips, full blonde wig with original curl. The clothes have no holes rips tears or odors. There is one tiny brown mark on one sleeve of the dress. The doll will arrive also wearing an original white taffeta rick rack trimmed petticoat, original white taffeta val lace trimmed panties, Cissy stockings, pink Cissy shoes, Cissy faux diamond ring and necklace, and pink vintage gloves. Blue straw hat with flocked flowers, feather and veil. Presented here is a fabulous 1950′s Madame Alexander Cissette doll. She has strawberry blonde. Hair with a triple stitched part wig, still in the most of the original lovely curls. The eyes open and close freely, hard upper lashes, painted under lashes, single stroke brows, coral mouth, lovely coloring. She has pierced ears with rhinestone drop earrings. The doll is hard plastic, bent knee, good strings, holds a pose well, marked on the back; MME Alexander, no splits. She is wearing the original tagged dress, it is navy taffeta with white polka dot cotton bustle back and puff sleeves. She has a white lace slip and white panties with lace trim, adorable black strappy high heels. Her hat is fabulous, blue straw, wide shaped brim, covered with fine veil around the front. I don’t see any splits cracks or odors to the doll, she is a beauty. Her coloring is original with beautiful ruby red lips, rosy cheeks, clear blue eyes with full eyelashes. Her wig is in an up do style with original curl. A very pretty Cissy dressed in a very rare reproduction dress tagged “Created by Lisa”. Many Cissy collectors are familiar with Lisa’s reproduction Madame Alexander Cissy and Elise dresses. Lisa would have exact copies of fabrics made for many of her dresses. The original of this dress is pictured on page #58 of the Cissy Files. The dress is minty.
