1955 #471 Little Red Riding Hood. Alexanderkins 8 Wendy is a straight leg walker with sleep blue eyes and no lower painted lashes. Bright, original cheek color. Crisp, white, tagged taffeta dress trimmed with 3 rows of red rick rack at the hem and white rick rack at the neck. Bright red taffeta cape is sleeveless and buttons at the front. On her head she wears a matching red taffeta bonnet or Charlotte cap which ties at her neck. Lace-edged petticoat or slip, socks, red side-snap shoes with fuzzy soles. Condition issues : Leg stringing is very loose. Could come apart at any time and yet I was able to get her to stand on her own without a stand. Im not a great re-stringer and on a doll this nice i didnt want to manhandle her. Small brownish stain on hem of skirt. Alexander straw basket but from a later Red Riding Hood. Elastic on slip has been reinforced with elastic thread. Tiniest seam split at top of right leg and mold flaw on top of right arm. Hair in very good set with just a few small flyaways.
