#22320 Cissy Milan 21 Madame Alexander 1998. Special edition for 75th Anniversary. It was a limited edition of 1500 and this doll is #0785. Attached to her wrist is a round gold tag with 75th Anniversary on it as well as a tag with her name on it. Her lips and nails are a very dark red. Her red hair is rooted and it reaches her waist, brown eyes with lashes on the top and painted on the bottom. She has a beauty mark just under her left eye. The belt around her leopard jacket is brown with three strands of beads with a large gold and red accent buckle. The buckle and the two broaches match the one on her dress and coat. She has gold earrings with two red stones and one yellow stone. She is wearing a couture faux cape and matching hat with several feathers attached. Her dress is gold with a leopard jacket. Her fur cape is brown with green and gold lining. Her stockings are black with a bold black seam going up the back of her leg. On her feet are high heels that are multi colored brown with a nice bow tie. She has never been played with. Original box with pink tissue paper. Some of the edges of the box are warn. It is in good condition. Hard to find and very desirable. Excellent condition – Smoke-free, Pet-free home. Doll collector is moving and must downsize her collection. Gown Is pleated cornflower blue tulle with butterfly treatment at shoulders and gather swag coming from back of Waist. Gown is accented with pale pink cabbage roses with beautiful crystals. Under skirt is dyed cotton Organdy. It has a matching taffeta slip and matching taffeta undies. It has four snaps going up back. It is tagged Madame Alexander Elise. This is considered hard to fine. I did find one tiny hole. There are is a split in the tulle. RARE ELISE Gown CornflowerTulle, RARE CISSY. Rather then split tulle it seems to be in really nice condition with no stains. Set of five composition dolls were marketed by Madame Alexander in the mid-1930s. They are fully marked on both the heads and bodies. They have sweet faces with lashed eyes, closed mouths, rosy cheeks, and brown painted hair. The chubby toddler bodies have rosy knees and each has the original dresses, undergarments, shoes, and stockings. The gold name pins are also still pinned to each doll. Her head is just a bit wobbly but her arms are fine and her knees bend well. Her hair is an amazing copper penny color, shiny and perfect. Her face paint is very high color and quite flawless. Her outfit is crisp and looks like it came right from the store. She comes with an extra pair of shoes and is wearing a bracelet and ring. Under her outfit she is wearing a black lace teddy. She is in her original box which is not in good shape (as you can see) but still is her original box. I have taken 3 more close up photos outside in bright sunlight. I’m afraid they’re still not quite as sharp as I would like but a new camera is coming. There is a bit of wear on the paint on her neck mostly on her right side. I don’t notice it in regular light but in bright light there is a bit of very subtle mottling mostly on the outside of her left eye. Her cheek color is amazing as are her eyebrows and lips. I recently bought these dolls at an estate sale. I really know nothing about these dolls other than one of them is in pieces. The other dolls all seem to be in good order and attached. All the eyes move closed as you lay them down and open as they stood up. All the clothes you see in these photos come with all the dolls. Their hair needs to brushed and the cloths need ironing.
