Gown Is pleated cornflower blue tulle with butterfly treatment at shoulders and gather swag coming from back of Waist. Gown is accented with pale pink cabbage roses with beautiful crystals. Under skirt is dyed cotton Organdy. It has a matching taffeta slip and matching taffeta undies. It has four snaps going up back. It is tagged Madame Alexander Elise. This is considered hard to fine. I did find one tiny hole. There are is a split in the tulle. RARE ELISE Gown CornflowerTulle, RARE CISSY. Rather then split tulle it seems to be in really nice condition with no stains. Wendy Loves To Waltz, Wendy wears a white organdy gown trimmed with red edging and a red ribbon sash. She carries a red satin bag attached to her wrist. I have never redressed or did a thing to her but have kept her in a cabinet away from heavy light and sunlight. She is as the title states….. Here was the ad, I couldn’t say it any better than this. What is there not to adore??? The girl we all love is all dressed up in a spectacular recreation of the very rare satin afternoon dress #2035 from 1956. This gorgeous off-white gown was made with taffeta and to my knowledge is one of only two creations made. The sash of the dress is caught at the left waist with vintage florals, and another vintage bouquet rests at Cissy’s right shoulder. Hand-set rhinestones in various sizes are sprinkled on the bodice and the sash. Closure is at the back with 3 square snaps. Underneath is the taffeta and tulle slip, custom made for this gown, taffeta panties and vintage hosiery. Cissy chose to wear a gorgeous rhinestone jewelry set – matching necklace and bracelet – a big sparkler on her finger, and small little hoop rhinestone earrings. Note: this beauty did not come with pierced ears, her earrings were applied with a spot of completely removable glue. This is indeed a breathtaking, gasp-worthy Cissy!! She was produced in 1955 and was the only Cissy to have been blessed with this gorgeous light brown wig, which also has longer bangs and longer curls in the back. Her features are beautiful – matte, with lightly blushed cheeks. Her color is ORIGINAL with no touch-ups of any kind. She has sparkling clear blue eyes with full lashes, and no splits, cracks, or odors. She will come to you with a replicated hand tag. This is One Very Special Girl! Please feel free to ask questions. Here, for your consideration is one of the most beautiful dolls I have ever seen. This is a 20 inch Cissy from 1955, based on the information in my book. She is called “Blue Waltz”. Her gown is Blue heavy slipper satin with silver braid and “sapphire” accents. I just realized I see where one rhinestone is missing, but you can’t really tell unless you pick the fabric up and inspect it closely. I suppose it could be replaced. LOL Her gown has capped sleeves and is design detailed. She is wearing her matching slip with netting layers trimmed with satin ribbon. She is wearing panties, back seamed stockings and she will bring her original strappy heels. I put them in a little plastic bag and tied them to her arm, for fear of losing them. The elastic is stretched out, as so many of them are. In my opinion, she is drop dead gorgeous. She has a little white feather fan, but I do believe it is a replacement, as is her beautiful bandeau hat which seems to be a lovely copy of the original one. Notice the blue showing in her eyes. Based on everything I have been told and have learned, this is the original doll in her original gown with matching slip. Cissy does not appear to have any crotch cracks or knee cracks. She seems to have all her eyelashes and her face paint is just beautiful. Her coloring all over is just lovely, in my opinion. Now, there are some stains on the dress, not bad in my opinion, but I want to mention them. I took a picture of the ones on the back of her gown. In my opinion, they are not noticeable anywhere when she is on display, but you have to look closely to see them. They kind of disappear in the folds of that beautiful satin. Her hair appears to me to be mostly in the original set. Note the longer bangs. Oh yes, I just noticed you can see a small amount of the wig cap through her “hair” if you look closely. I really don’t know her history. This is the way she came to me. She isn’t absolutely perfect, but she is absolutely gorgeous in my opinion. That is all I know to tell you right now.
