VINTAGE 18 BLUE RIBBON MADAME ALEXANDER COMPOSITION MARGARET O’BRIEN. This lovely doll was a first place winner at the Sunbonnet Doll Show in 1993 for the Celebrity category. Madame Alexander Margaret O’Brien 18 Inch Doll 1946-47 with Box No Reserve. 18 Madame Alexander Margaret OBrien Composition Doll. Dolls are not our greatest area of expertise, so please ask questions and offer additional information wherever possible. She was a child movie star in the 1940s. Alexander made her in composition in 1946-7. It appears that the clothing is faded but original. It is clear that she was played with, and while I didn’t take off her clothes, they appear to be faded but otherwise in good condition. She has a marking across her back that reads. The paper tag attached to her clothing reads. 1946 – Sears catalog – displayed OBrien Doll on one side and Directory of U. Trademarks – by – Luella Hart – Pg 29 – Margaret OBrien.
