Vintage 21 Madame Alexander PUSSYCAT Baby Doll 1965. Vintage Madame Alexander Pussycat doll 1965. Doll is from an estate sale with one owner. She is 21 long and is in mint in the box condition. She has blonde hair / blue eyes and her head is still wrapped in cellophane. She is dressed in her original pink and white stripped dress and booties. She has original box #6250 and the box is in overall good condition for its age and has one taped side. Marked Alexander on the neck and comes with her wrist tag and her clothing tag. Her crier works but is faint. Her body is clean and there are no holes, stains or marks. A beautiful example of Madame Alexander Pussycat doll. DO NOT DUPLICATE OR COPY! Antique/ vintage Madame Alexander doll. Baby McGuffy c 1939-42. Composition head, lower arms and legs. Original mohair wig over molded hair. Clear amber/ brown eyes. Presented here is a gorgeous vintage Madame Alexander Baby McGuffy doll. She is 24 tall, composition head, lower arms and legs on a cloth body. Beautiful face with high color, thick hair lashes, painted under lashes, soft smokey shadow, closed red mouth. This is the original finish, the face has no crazing. The body is cloth, it is sturdy with no tears, there is residue from what I believe were original rubber panties, there is a crier, it does not work. The feet and hands are good, a sight bit of crazing on the sides of the hands only. She has her original mohair wig over molded hair, it is a sandy color, the curls are a little shaggy but look adorable that way, it is thick and overall good. She is wearing original clothes from the same era, I don’t know what she came in. The dress is an adorable pink stripped cotton with petite roses. Very cute with a semi dolmen cut to the sleeves and small pleats in the front. The bonnet is a light pink cotton with a natural weave, light weigh like organdy with nice body. It has a stand up ruffled brim with embroidery, silk ribbon bows. Her socks are rayon knit, the shoes are shinny black with ankle straps. Underneath she has handmade bloomers of ivory cotton with wide lace cuffs tied with bows. The clothing is all in excellent vintage condition, clean, sturdy, no stains, no tears. The doll and clothes are in good condition. She wears a blue original blue dress and white stock and shoe. She has some discoloration spots on her body. Her eyes open and close easily. This is the most Beautiful Doll Ever! I guess you could say she is my favorite doll! She has been washed and cleaned thoroughly. Her stuffing was removed and cleaned and put back in along with a new kitten crier! If anyone has ever done this they know what a job this is. She did have a couple of places on her arm I had to mend. She does have a finger that has a little indention mark can’t decide if it is a chew mark or that is just in the vinyl when it came out of the mold. She does have a few slight stains on her body that I could not remove. With saying all that she is still all original. I even cleaned her kitten tag and put it back on. I Handmade her clothes from a Original kitten dress that I took apart very carefully and used as a pattern. I tried to use the exact same fabric that Madame Alexander used when she made the Kitten Doll clothes in 1961! Her little coat and hat are made from Very expensive babywale corduroy. I even made her little kitten a romper from the same corduroy. She is ready to be loved and cherished again as the beautiful doll she is. She is truly a Keepsake Doll. I know you won’t be disappointed in this doll. She comes with all the clothes her kitten and pacifier! The bed and bedding is not included. This Doll is very rare and beautiful! I have never seen a more beautiful doll for her age. She is in her original state. I don’t think she has been touched at all. She looks like she was never played with. Her body is so clean. She has very little crazing or cracking. She has no lifting at all. Her eyes are crystal clear and perfect condition all her eye lashes are there. Very rare for a doll her age. Her clothes are custom made for her from vintage Cotton organdy dotted swiss fabric. This fabric is so hard to find these days and very very expensive! The lace is also vintage hand dyed swiss very very expensive! Her booties were hand crocheted to match the vintage French satin ribbon used on her bonnet. They were made by an original Madame Alexander dress slip and bloomers pattern. Her bracelet was also hand made for her! She will always have my heart with her. I love this doll she is truly a Victorian Treasure! I call her Princess Charlotte because she looks just the Royal baby Princess Charlotte. The back of this dolls head is marked 25520 M. I have never seen another doll marled like this. She is very rare! Her body was all cracked. So I decided to save her head and shoulders. I put them on a Madame Alexander Pussycat body that someone had destroyed the dolls eyes and hair. I custom made her clothes. Her dress and bonnet are Capital Imports fairy swiss pink batiste. The lace is also Capitol Imports swiss Cotton lace. I have spent many hours creating this doll. She is truly one of a kind. She comes with her bracelet, vintage pacifier and articulated sheep and clothes. Crib and bedding not included. I also put a new German crier so she cries when you pick her up or lay her down. This doll is in good shape for her age but she is not in perfect condition she does have some boos boos here and there.
