Offered here is an exceptionally beautiful, HARD TO FIND brunette Madame Alexander Big Binnie Winnie Walker doll. She stands 24 inches tall and has a working walker mechanism, i. When you move her legs her head turns from side to side nicely. She has beautiful big blue eyes and red lips, rosy cheeks, all her lashes and painted brows. She has no marks or flaws on her face that I can discern. Her long, thick brunette hair is quite thick and she has short wavy bangs. On her head she wears a wonderful vintage black velvet bandeau with beautiful pink and white and deep burgundy ribbon roses and buds and little green leaves. It goes nicely with her pale pink dress and black strappy vintage shoes. She also comes with her original MA doll slip with its original neck and sleeve trim intact, and her original full cut panties which snap at the back of her waist. To her original outfit, I have added a darling dark navy blue corduroy dressy coat with white lace trim at the collar and white buttons. The coat has a flare skirt and long dark blue velvet sleeves. It fits her beautifully. She can be posed with or without the coat. I have also added a vintage bouquet of fabric flowers with vintage pink satin ribbons which she holds tied in her hand. My home is SMOKE FREE and PET FREE. This doll has been part of my personal collection kept in a darkened doll room in my temperature controlled home. She shows no sign of any sun fading and has NO ODOR. I take great care to wrap and pack my dolls so that they do not move around in transit. For Sale 25 1955 Madame Alexander Cissy faced Binnie walker doll in tagged formal gown with original stockings, shoes and panties, come with the original tagged gaberdine coat. This doll was originally a bride but she has lost her wedding gown so I have redressed her in a gown belonging to the 1955 Story Princess doll. The doll is in very good to excellent condition for her age. Her lovely medium blond wig is one of only two formal hairstyles made for the large Binnie doll and short of some flyaways, is in great condition and still has the curled bangs and most of the fine net snood. Her eyes are a lovely blue and her eyelids (are not scratched) and her eyes have all her lashes and open and close well. Her eyebrows are a bit faint but clearly visible. She also has a bit of a brown mark under her right eye which might come off but I didn’t try. She has no neck splits but she does have a crotch split which is so common to these dolls. If you put your nose up close to her leg joints and crotch split you can very faintly smell the odor that is so common with these dolls. I never smelled it until I took off her panties to check for the crotch split before listing her. She has one noticeable mark on her body near her top left thigh that is a bit of a scratch but other than that marks are from normal light play wear on her arms and legs. She walks like a champ and her head turns well. Her gown is from the 1955 Story Princess doll made exclusively for Montgomery Ward. It is tagged Madame Alexander. It is a peachy pink brocade and is hard to find. It is not lined, has a Madame Alexander tag and has been cleaned. It does have a few minor seam repairs that are nearly indistinguishable. The gown no longer had its flowers at the waist when I got it so I have pinned some vintage flowers there which you can replace easily if so inclined. The pink taffeta slip is handmade (but looks perfect with the gown) which has a band at the waist line and a snap to keep it closed. There is one small water type stain on the slip. The slip fits beautifully except the waist was sized for a slimmer doll, so someone added an extension piece to enlarge the waist. A talented seamstress should be able to repair this. She has original pale pink undies with somewhat stretched elastic. She is wearing a replacement vintage fur stole, a vintage simulated pearl doll necklace which has been tied on and a floral swag of vintage flowers has been pinned in her hair. Her shoes are not original and the right one has a sole which has lost the top layer and the heel so the bottoms of the two shoes do not match. There is a slight stain on one of the shoes. The shoes look fine from the top in that you can’t tell the heel is missing from one shoe. The snaps work well. She also comes with a Winnie Walker pale pink organza type dress with a crinoline underslip. The dress has lace on the front bodice and there used to be pearls on the bodice but they are long gone and there are tiny holes where they used to be. The first underslip has pink lace and it is attached to the undershirt/bodice. The pink organza dress is on top of it. There are three tiny pearl type buttons in the back and a tie that is tied in a bow. The undergarment has a tear near the left back armpit and in the front top of that armit. I have shown this in the picture above. The dress has a couple of faint stains on it – one is on the middle on the front – it is a little yellow. There is a little hole on the underskirt garment in the back near the butt. She also has a second crinoline type slip under the first one with white lace and pink ribbon through the lace. The outfit comes with white and pink socks Her dress is tagged in the back “Winnie Walker Madame Alexander New York, NY”. The dress and underslip are in fair condition. It is roughly 65 years old and shows wear and playtime. IMPORTANT: This doll is rare and hard to find and she is wearing a hard to find formal gown. Please understand both doll and outfit have been lightly played with. She is 65 years old and is not for the purist. I have tried to describe her to the best of my ability and list every flaw that I see. I have described this listing to the best of my ability. Keep checking back for more vintage. Featured here is a vintage Madame Alexander 24 inch Binnie Winnie Walker doll; she is dressed in a lovely navy blue check cotton dress, with ruffled rick rack cotton slip, cotton panties and a white velvet lined coat with Navy grosgrain ribbon accents. She wears a wonderful vintage straw bonnet, of tightly woven molded straw, accented with a navy blue grosgrain ribbon and ties. Tiny vintage fabric flowers are on the top. This doll wears a beautiful vintage necklace of graduated pearls that closes with a very old metal clasp; it holds nicely and is the perfect size for her. She carries a miniature Williamsburg China plate ornament, with its original tag and satin ribbon hang loop; the plate is dated 2006 and is from Shields Tavern at Williamsburg and features wonderful fish, a tree and tavern on the plate. Its colors compliment her outfit beautifully. I have added replacement white patent looking ankle strap shoes with tiny bows on the toes. NOTE: In response to a question about her hair and request for photos of the back of her head under the hat, I have added a couple photos. Her wig is thick and in its original set, not messy or missing — a beautiful dark golden blonde in wonderful curls. This doll is a walker, i. Rare vintage Madame Alexander The Story Princess. Released in the 1950s several times so Im not sure if this is the 1957. I think the face is the Cissy mold. Three roses on her skirt and one on the top. Original per the only owner but I do not find any photos of it in my research. Pretty to display, the color is not bright probably faded from being displayed or age. She has her original bloomers , nylons and shoes. Bloomers are a bit stretched out at the waist but stay up nicely. Her head is a little stiff to turn left and right. She may originally have been a walker. Her hair needs a nice combing but it is full. And its original style. Her eyelashes are missing which I try to show in the photos. Her face needs washing but I have not tried. All over excellence with no distracting defects. Clean and ready to display. She is the older of the sister doll Binnie and has the same face as Cissy doll. You can tell she is a Winnie by her unjointed elbows and knees and her hair is a wig not a wig cap and also because she is a walker. All hard plastic arms and legs and head with a consistent light skin tone throughout. Hair wig is in its original style with two original string tiebacks on top. She is marked “Alexander” on the back of her neck. This Winnie is a walker and the walker works perfectly with her head moving side to side when you move her legs. Winnie is wearing a white chiffon dress with a sewn in nylon under slip. It appears to be factory made with a white washed out tag sewn on the back of her dress at the neck line. Featured here is a beautiful “Big Binnie Winnie” Walker doll in a lovely blue gown to compliment her very blue eyes. She stands 24 inches tall without her hat. Her walker mechanism works very well, when you move her legs her head turns nicely from side to side; see photos. She has thick dark brown hair and bangs, no missing hair, in its original set of short shoulder length curls. She has very blue blue eyes and rosy cheeks and rosebud lips. She has all her eye lashes! I just noticed a light dappling across her forehead, not readily noticeable but I did want to mention it. I missed it until I looked closely at one of my photo close-ups. This doll does have joint rubs and a few marks on her legs and arms (see next to last photo) — she is not perfect but in very good condition for her age. I have dressed her in a vintage doll outfit, complete with picture hat and flower basket. This is a very sweet doll in a lovely outfit with wonderful accessories, for the vintage doll collector. Her dress and slips have been laundered and pressed; they are very clean. There is no odor at all with this doll. This brunette beauty is dressed in a lovely long blue cotton gown with puffed sleeves, good elastic in the sleeves, and lace trimmed ruffles and skirt. She has a nosegay of flowers tied at her waist with a long satin ribbon. There is one tiny dark spot on her dress, behind her basket, which did not come out in washing. Otherwise the dress and slips are in very good condition for their age. She carries a vintage wicker basket with vintage flowers in it, which comes with a pink ribbon to tie to her wrist. She also wears a very rare vintage necklace of GRADUATED PEARLS; this necklace has a tiny rhinestone clasp like those found on bride necklaces in the 1950s, with a slip in and slide metal hook at the back of her neck. Beneath her skirt she has two long formal length slips, one is white cotton and edged in the same lace as the dress; the other is a stiff tulle with many layers of lace. The latter is very full and stiff and gives the dress and other slip a lot of strut. The tulle slip has an elastic tie at the waist; the cotton slip is held closed with a large pin. She also wears a pair of lovely white cotton pantaloons with tiny blue bows and edged in light blue heart lace; she wears vintage white Fairyland rubber shoes with side straps, with their rubber nubs intact to button closed. These shoes have been soaked and bleached and are very clean. Her large Southern Belle hat is a vintage straw with yellow velvet bow and ribbon and vintage forget me not flowers and roses. It fits her head well and can be posed straight or on an angle as shown in the photos — to frame her lovely face. Her vintage brunette wig under her hat is very full and thick and beautiful so this doll can be displayed nicely with her hat on or with her hat carried in her hand, as shown in the photos.
