The doll is in great shape as you can see in the photos. This 20″ Cissy is style #2094 from the 1955 collection of Madame Alexander dolls called “A Child’s Dream Comes True. ” She is described in the catalogue as wearing “a breathtaking gown of heavy champagne slipper satin. Her muff of matching nylon tulle is decorated with ruby red roses. Her necklace and earrings of rhinestones and topaz. (note that she is missing her earrings) Beneath the gown, she has a champagne yellow hoop petticoat and matching panties, hose and high heel shoes. This doll is hard to find, especially to find her with necklace, muff, tagged dress, hose and shoes! Her hair and coloring are excellent and her sleepy eyes close when horizontal. While she displays beautifully for a 63 year old lady. I want to describe as much as I can. She would be the perfect candidate for a Cissy spa to spruce her up to museum quality! She has some flaws which I want to point out. She is missing her. Earrings, her gown has a few stains that need attention, Her Petticoat is in the roughest shape with holes and the hoop is way out of shape due to storing her flat for years. Her dress is tagged and her petticoat elastic is still strong enough to hold it up well. I have added many photos. But will send you more if there is something that you would like to see. I would like her to find a new home where she can get the care and attention she needs. She will be double boxed for ultimate protection and insured up to the the sale price. Her hair and coloring are excellent, and I think there are remnants of the original hair net in her hair. While she displays beautifully, she has some flaws which I want to point out. In very good condition, she is missing her shoes and earrings. Her gown has a few small, almost imperceptible smudges and at least one pin hole which I tried to capture in the photo. I do not see a tag in her dress and her petticoat elastic appears a little stretched. She also has some dirt on her arms and a bit of residue or dirt on her neck where her head attaches (see photo). Not very noticeable but I want to describe as much as I can. She would be the perfect candidate for a Cissy spa that several of our talented MADC members offer! I have added many photos, but will take more if there is something that you would like to see. I would like her to find a new home, and in this case, prefer not to take her back, so offer her without return, unless I have grossly misrepresented her. This beautiful Madame Alexander portrait doll is called Pink Champagne. She comes in her original box. I understand she is from the 1951 series. She is also known as the Arlene Dahl portrait doll. She has red hair and green eyes. Her dress is not tagged, but it is original. The flowers on her dress are in lovely condition. Her shoes may not be original and she has no stockings. The box says she is a 21 doll, but I measured her at 20. Her dress, panties, necklace, earrings, shoes and hair net are all in good condition. She has some finish loss on her finger tips, a spot on the top of her right forearm, the tops of her thighs on the back of her legs, and the top of her shoulders (see photos). Her sleep eyes dont automatically open, you have to open them for her. Her face paint is in good condition, and she has all her eyelashes. Her hair is in great condition. Her joints are tight. She is in good condition for her age and would be a great addition to your doll collection. She comes from a smoke free home. Check out my other vintage doll auctions.
