The set of, 16″ tall, “Meg, Beth, Amy & Jo”, from the storybook, ” Little Women by Louisa May Alcott is based on the literary classic. They are all early cloth Mme. Alexander (cloth tagged) dolls in very good, original condition with completely original costumes. They are all pink muslin cloth with swivel head s and molded and flocked mask faces having painted, brown or blue side-glancing eyes , painted eyelashes and eyebrows, very well shaped and painted mouths and original thick, soft red/brown or blond hair wigs. They each wear their complete, crisp organdy dress with printed designs, white ruffled organdy collar, apron, long white cotton slips with attached long pantaloons and silk hair ribbons. They have floppy limbs with mitt-type hands with separate thumbs and shaped feet including original shoes & socks. They have no damages or fading, no stains or holes. They have no moth damage and no odors as they are from a smoke free home. 24 Madame Alexander 30′s-40′s era DOLL. She is not marked. However, Her dress and her coat set are both tagged. Dress has attached long leg panties, lace trim and ties in the back. Coat and hat are matching. The dress is in decent shape. Not perfect but displays nicely and the snaps are intact. The coat set looks to have been cleaned at some point and has some wear spots. A couple stitches given here and there. Original oilcloth shoes are intact but show wear. This girl doll is so… I have done a few light things to her. On her leg a split in the compo has been stabilized (white Glue) Her Coloring is vibrant and beautiful. No missing fingers or toes. She had a little rub on her nose that I touched up and I fixed her blown eyes. Looks like a old repair in the cloth body at the arm? But for the most part I left her alone. She has a good blonde Human hair wig in nice shape. I suspect it’s been under the hat all these years. Please look at all the pictures. There are good & clear close-ups.
