In good condition, but there are some scuffs or dark marks on arms. Faces and wigs look really good. Beth’s joints feel a bit loose, but the rest of the dolls are tight. MADAME ALEXANDER COMPOSITION WAAC DOLL in COMPLETE TAGGED WWII 1943 UNIFORM. This 14 inch doll was created by Madame Alexander in 1943-44 to help stimulate patriotism in young children. Ready to serve her country, she is all composition, blue glass sleep eyes work well, lashes are short but original and the shadow paint and lower lashes are beautiful. The crazing, typical of composition dolls, can barely be seen with a magnifying glass but not able to photograph it. There is a hairline crack over the left eye and under the right eye (no lifting) The blonde mohair wig is precious in blonde wavy curls and has not been combed out. Her original outfit includes a kakki green blouse with tie and attached brown gored skirt with slip. The lace trimmed panties are separate. The brown kakki military jacket has all the brass buttons and belt. The brown leatherette shoes and rayon socks are in excellent condition witha small red spot on the heel of the right sock. All made in fine Alexander costuming that we are familiar with. As for as the hat, I have made a replica of the original of kakki fabric and trimmed the center front with the metal Eagle and two military buttons at the sides. Coming to a point in the back. She’s a straight leg walker factory dressed in the costume most often attributed to 1953. The toy retail season is autumn to autumn, not January through December. In stunning, complete, crisp condition. No holes, no rips, no repairs, no repairs needed, no dust, no odors. Southern Girl has a beautiful complexion and vivid features.
