Madame Alexander Dolls

1939 17 Alexander SCARLETT O’HARA Gone with the Wind composition doll. She has fine crazing all over but no chips or breaks or lifting. Marked alexander on the back of her neck. Whites of eyes have darkened with age, they do “sleep”, she has nice upper real lashes and painted lower lashes. Some paint loss on lower lip (see pic). She is wearing her original tagged outfit which is in very nice condition. Includes dress, slip, pantaloons, socks, shoes and hat. Her hat does have cracks (see pics), but to me it doesnt take away from her beauty. Her shoes do have paint loss (see pic). Very nice displayed condition, please check all the pictures carefully. Some have never been removed from box, some have been displayed and then placed back in the box and others were displayed and I don’t have the box. They all are in amazing condition! Clean and odor free. She is in her original tagged clothing and retains her Margaret O’Brien clover tag on her wrist. This doll has stunning all original facial coloring, mohair wig, and sparkling eyes that open and close easily. The wig is in original braids with their original red ribbons. Her face and legs show little to no crazing. Her arms have some fine line crazing that you could use a product like compo craze on, if desired. I think she looks spectacular just as is. The dress is a soft fabric, like a rayon. There are no stains on the skirt and just a little brown spot on the back of the blouse by the snaps. I got this doll in this exact condition from the original owner. She’s a beauty! Please take a look at all my other vintage doll items this week. RARE Composition Madame Alexander Dr. Dafoe and Nurse Yvonne Leroux. Dafoe doll is 14 and represents the famed doctor of the Dionne Quintuplets. He was made by Madame Alexander in 1935 and unmarked, although his uniform is tagged. Nurse Leroux is 13 and also unmarked. Each have swivel heads, and jointed arms/legs with painted eyes (except Nurse with sleep eyes). The doctor has grey mohair wig and highly characterize smiling kindly expression. The nurse has a sweet disposition and blond wig. Condition of each is good to very good for age. Some usual wear with composition dolls, outfits a bit yellowed, socks may be original on each but shoes look to have been replaced. Some minor crazing or nicks may be in some places, joints a little floppy or loose on each, but poseable. The stand is included with the Nurse.
