These are the Dionne Quintuplets by Madame Alexander, circa 1935. They are all composition and a complete set of (5). All are marked “ALEXANDER” on their backs. All are excellent and clean condition with very nice coloring. There are no cracks, breaks, crazing or distracting marks. One needs to be restrung and two are a tad loose. They all have their original clothing which consists of dress, slip, diaper, bonnet and bib. The bibs have their names embroidered on them. One is missing her bib. There are no odors. All clothing is very nice with no holes, tears, stains or problems. The group appears to have been put away when made and never played with. Really as nice as you will fine these. SALE CAN END AT ANY TIME! 1930′s Madame Alexander Dionne Quintuplet Dolls. THIS IS A MATCHED SET!!!!! Composition 11 1/2 Dionne Quintuplet Toddler Dolls. This set is all original and has been cleaned and restrung. These dolls are hard to find wearing the loop lace party dresses. Clothing has been freshly laundered and pressed. The dresses are all tagged “Madame Alexander Dionne Quintuplets, New York, NY”. Clothing tags are all crisp and clear, and I have not noticed any holes or tears on any of the outfits. The ribbons in the dolls hair are replacement one’s which matched the same style as the original. Dolls still have their original brass safety pins on clothing, as well as their ORIGINAL brass name pins with each of the girl’s names: Annette, Cecile, Emelie, Marie, and Yvonne. Dolls still have their ORIGINAL shoes. The shoes snaps and soles are in great condition with no repairs!!! These doll have had their composition cleaned and then they were professionally restrung. From 1935, and super rare in this larger size! This is Madame Alexander’s Dionne Quintuplet Composition 24″ tall “Yvonne Baby Doll. (Measured from the top of her head, down her body, following the contour of her bent baby legs) She is in overall pristine condition, despite her age of 83 years! Please ZOOM in on all photos for closest detail. Yvonne has dark molded and painted hair in fantastic condition, she only has 2 extremely tiny rubs on the back (see photo, they are pea sized, any other areas in photo are from lighting glare ONLY) Her original factory face paint is vibrant and lovely. Open and close big brown eyes are original and clear, with all her real human hair eyelashes. Yvonne has a sweet smile that shows her 2 upper pearly white baby teeth, her head is jointed and can move side to side, with a shoulder plate. Cloth body is in wonderful condition, she has composition limbs. Her original crier inside her works perfectly. Her composition is in beautiful condition with the original factory sheen, and only the tiniest of light crazing that you must look very closely to even notice! Next to her left eye there is a small (pea sized) area that had paint flaking and was touched up also goes unnoticed unless you are looking for this. Sweet Baby Yvonne is wearing her pink bloomers trimmed in lace with her pink antique slip tucked into them, her lovely pink batiste embroidered baby gown, Matching pink ruffled brim antique bonnet, white nylon socks, satin pink baby shoe slippers, her white embroidered antique bib you could have her name embroidered on it if you chose to! I would have but my machine does not do monograms, and her pink button front textured silky jacket. Yvonne also comes with her sweet vintage teddy bear toy she is holding in her photos! Vintage 1935 Alexander Dionne Quints Quintuples Toddlers 8 Doll Set in Basket. Scroll down for larger views. She was an only child who had wonderful dolls, carefully stored for many years. This is the set of Dionne Quintuplet Toddler Dolls, made around 1936, marked: Alexander on their backs. Made by Madame Alexander. Each doll is 8” high, all composition, jointed at the neck, shoulders, and hips. The dolls have adorable faces, with bright coloring, original paint, painted brown side-glancing eyes, painted lashes & brows, red lips, and still rosy cheeks. The paint is excellent and there is no crazing or other issues on the faces. Each wears her original brunette mohair wig, still in the original set. The wigs are soft & clean, without missing or cut pieces. The bodies are also excellent. They have straight legs with cute toddler bodies. The paint is bright, with no re-paint or touch-ups. The knees and hands are still rosy. One doll has two small spots of chipped paint on the back of one foot, a second doll has a tiny paint rub on two finger tips. Otherwise all seem to be as they should. They have also been re-strung. The dolls come in their original hard-to-find wicker Picnic Basket with hinged lid, four metal fasteners and two handles (12 x 15” x 7.5” high when closed). It’s in nice shape with the original pink ruffled pillow inside the basket. The other side has the clothing, but no liner. Just a light water stain on the pillow. Included in the Basket: All 5 tagged organdy dresses and 4 matching organdy bonnets, 3 white organdy petticoats w/panties, 4 cotton pique rompers and all five matching bonnets, all five knit swimsuits (dolls are wearing these in photo), 5 flannel nightgowns (4 are pink, 1 is blue), 9 white oilcloth center-snap shoes, and 2 brass name pins (Cecille & Annette). The organdy dresses & bonnets are in very good to excellent condition. The petticoats/panties are fine, one has a little stain. The rompers & bonnets are in good to very good condition with only minor wear. The knit swimsuits are in good to very good condition. The flannel nightgowns are fine. The shoes do have play wear. Two shoes have a broken snap. The pins are in very good condition. It is rare to find this set in such excellent condition, with no hint of crazing. The clothing is also clean and unfaded.
