This is a Stunning Madame Alexander Cissette Doll in #916 tagged crisp version of the Navy Blue Taffeta Dress. She has high color to her cheeks. In her book Cissette A Complete Guide to the Madame Alexander Dolls by Marjorie E Merrod M. She states that this dress is a variation with the blue and white sheer blue and white dotted organdy puff sleeves, sash and pleated back inset. The organdy has not aged in color as viewed in person. The tagged taffeta dress is in super crisp clean excellent condition. Cissette is a 9 inch hard plastic doll in very clean condition. She is also wearing her basic clean and pristine chemise under the dress. Her hard plastic torso has pink color transfer front and back (below the waist). She is also wearing red elastic high heels and small rhinestone earrings. Her hard plastic body is super clean with tight joints, Her arms hold a pose and her medium blond zig zag stitched wig is absolutely beautiful. It is in the original very very shiny set with long curls to the nape of her neck. She has high color to her cheeks, peach eyelids, pink nail polish, full face paint and coral pink lips. Smoke and pet free. Additional: The color transfer, particularly red/pink, is usually from something she once wore. At the time this doll was produced, red dyes were very unstable, not like today. If you laundered an article of red clothing with your “whites”, you would have pink whites at the end. So she wore something red at one point in her life. She has a hard plastic jointed body with vinyl jointed arms. Stitched honey blonde wig in curls with bangs, the hair is swept over the part in the center, curls in the back. Blue-green sleep eyes that open and closes with thick hair lashes, painted under lashes, nice coloring, coral mouth, her ears are not pierced. Marked on the back of the head “ALEXANDER” under the hair. She is wearing an original 1950′s dress by Deluxe Reading in coral chiffon with and attached net petticoat and. With prong set rhinestones. Underneath she has ivory satin panties and white strappy ankle strap high heels. Her accessories are fabulous, she carries a vintage white faux fur stole, it is satin lined with wired edges, it has a faint bluish spot on the inside lining only, it is fastened with a 1950′s rhinestone starburst brooch. With beads and jewels, it has feather trim and a full veil. The clothing is in excellent vintage condition, there is a very small darker spot on the hem of the dress, normal vintage flaws, no noticeable damage. There are some reflections in the photos. She carries the most adorable vintage 1950′s toy poodle, cream color, with curly yarn hair and a beret hat, gold collar, he is tagged Dakin/ Japan. She wears red molded plastic shoes, there is a split on the toe strap of one shoe but still stays in place. The clothing is in excellent vintage condition, there is a small dark mark on one cuff and a small pull on the skirt but nothing noticeable. There are some reflections and shadows in the photos. FROM THE HOME OF A SMOKING COLLECTOR. This doll is in lovely condition for a vintage doll She is a 14 Margaret face Madame Alexander from 1950. She has her bracelet but does not have shoes and her hairpiece was destroyed (I will send the remnants with her). Her dress has staining but is structurally sound with no damage. Her hair is in excellent set and her eyes work well. She will be due to restring soon but she currently is holding her head and limbs well. Her right hand has a bit of light damage on the top (perhaps cuts) but fingers and toes are fully intact in on all limbs. A nice doll from the 1950′s with a highly desirable Margaret face. Nancy Drew #1262 is a 12 character doll that was manufactured by Madame Alexander in 1967 only. She belongs to the Literature Series of dolls and is all original with a worn and detached wrist tag. Missing is its pink string. Nancy Drew is a pretty doll with finely stroked brown brows, blue sleep eyes with painted under lashes and fully molded upper lashes, blush, and a closed coral mouth. Her right eye may be a tad lighter than her left eye. Nancy Drew is complete with her tan linen? Brass buttoned coat (pinholes on lower left sleeve), coordinating tan A-line dress, blue scarf (faded), satin panties, nylons, and tan faux suede boots. The back of her coat is tagged Nancy Drew Madame Alexander New York U. Her long strawberry blonde/light auburn hair still retains one of its clear plastic hair pins, a fragment of its original hairnet, and its blue velvet ribbon which has become worn and soiled with age and storage. Her outfit remains fairly clean though her coat sustains an imperfection line in its weave to the right side of its third brass button, its button holes have dimmed possibly brass transfer, and its faux suede boots sustain wear & crackling to their faux suede with more notable white stitching pulls along their front seams. The outer edge of its right boot sustains a faint stain and dark scuff. Attached to Nancy Drew’s right hand via a pink thread are her red plastic bag and black camera. She does not come with sunglasses. Not sure she ever did– Her stringing is loose. Though she appears UN-played with she may need a gentle dusting and removal of grime around her neck opening. I believe that Nancy Drew #1262 is the first doll in the Nancy Drew series from 1967. She is certainly a rarity and may add further interest to your Nancy Drew collection. She has been in my collection for well over ten years now, but I have decided to part with her, though difficult. Nancy Drew was my favorite literary sleuth and heroine when I was a child. I spent many fond hours adventuring with her as she cleverly solved mysteries. I SELL ONLY WITHIN THE U. Im offering today another one of my adorable large baby dolls by Madame Alexander from the year 1961. This is a large baby doll which is known as “Kitten” by Madame Alexander which has platinum blonde hair cut into a wispy baby cut which frames her face beautifully. If you have allergies and never thought you could own a vintage baby doll, now you can. This baby doll was completely taken apart, removed all the old stuffing, soaked in my special solution for approximately two days, rinsed and then soaked again in a softener for another day. Hung out to dry on the line in fresh air and then carefully re-stuffed with hypo-allergenic fiber stuffing to give her fullness. Her head, arms and legs are stuffed with polyester fiber prior to returning her head. Her head is put back on with 20 gauge aluminum wire which should wear for another 60 years of loving. Wait till you see this doll in person. She is truly a beautiful doll and hard to believe she is from 1961 now that she has been restored. Now to the description of the doll. I will start at the top of the doll and work my way down so as not to omit anything in my description. Starting at the top of her head, she has pale platinum blonde hair which is cut into a wispy baby cut. The large bow around her head was designed and created by me so it would match her dress. The ribbon I used is heavy grosgrain in soft pink. I made a large bow and attached it to a one inch wide pale pink elastic hair band so it would stay securely on top of her head. It looks sooooo cute! As you go down to her face, she has single brown line for eyebrows. She has blue colored open close sleep eyes with long eyelashes which have been spared from the hands of her previous little mommies. Her eyes open and close freely and have such a precious look to them. She has a dainty little nose with open nostrils for realism which flow down to her rose bud shape lips. Her lips are painted bright pink color with open mouth for cuteness. Her cheeks have beautiful coloring to blend well with her beautiful bright eyes. Her head, legs and arms are soft vinyl which are attached to a firmly clean stuffed original body. She has jointed head so you can pose her in the sweetest positions. The back of her neck is hallmarked: “Alexander, 1961″. Now to her adorable outfit I chose for her debut. I decided to put her in a vintage Feltman Brothers pale pink voile dress which buttons up the front. The dress is probably from the 1940′s era, but looked like it would go perfect with this precious doll. There are five mother of pearl buttons which keep the dress closed. The panel where the buttons close have delicate white lace going down either side. The top bodice on the dress has tiny pinch pleating which frames the dress perfectly. Under the pink voile dress she wears a pale pink slip from the same era. Under her slip she is wearing pale pink cotton pants which come to the knees. She has pale pink socks with delicate pink lace which peek over the top of her hand made pink booties. The booties have adorable pink satin rose on top and tie with pale pink silk ribbon. She has been in my collection for many years and over the course of years I clean my dolls and try to avoid them from ageing by doing so. They are not played with by children who come and visit; I know that sounds mean, but sometimes they play too rough. My dolls are kept in a doll room specifically for them and are displayed for everyone to enjoy. All my dolls are truly loved and cared for as though they were my children. Their clothes are either original to the doll, made by me, I’ve tried finding doll clothing from the same era as the doll or find clothing which match the personality of the doll. We do not smoke and I try very hard to keep a tidy clean home free of dust and odor. Depending on how old they are, I do try to be honest in detailing if some of the dolls have bruises, missing toes or fingers or other issues, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t worth having; for each one is like children….. They are all beautiful in their mothers eyes. If I’ve missed something it would never be intentional. This is a very large doll measuring approximately 22 tall. I’m going to say she is in excellent condition because she has been restored. As I mentioned above, her body was disassembled and thoroughly cleaned and put back together. Her clothes are Vintage and have been washed and ironed for her debut. Her hair band was designed and created just for her. She is an adorable doll which you will want to add to your collection.
