Rare 12 Edith The Lonely Doll limited edition felt doll by Madame Alexander #41425 from 2005 based on the Edith character in Dare Wright’s classic book The Lonely Doll. The photographs you’re looking at are of the doll that I’m keeping for myself. The one you will receive has never been out of the box or even the outer cardboard mailing sleeve surrounding the box. Edith has been carefully stored since 2005 just waiting for the right person to… Give her a home. Edith is dressed just like her namesake in the book in a pink and white checked dress, sweet petticoat and a crisp white apron. She wears little gold earrings and has a bouncy blonde ponytail. She is made of felt like the vintage Lenci that became the original Edith. Her numbered Certificate of Authenticity is inside the box. Only 500 of these very special dolls were created.
