Here comes Cissy in her new cocktail outfit. She is ready for an evening of entertaining in this smart new ensemble. Included in it is a very lovely pair of black velveteen ankle length pants. They have a gold elastic waist. They close at the side and the seam is lined with a placket. Her top is a cotton knit fabric that snaps up the back with black snaps on gross grain ribbon on both sides. Of course this outfit could be worn without the gorgeous red sashing, but Cissy takes it up a notch with this red accent. The sashing is a cummerbund with a gathered and layered bow at the side. The sashing closes with two snaps. A vintage gold tone and diamond earring was used to give it a bit more pizzazz. Finally, included are her gold heels. Cissy is a thing of beauty herself. She is clean, has no odors, stains, or repairs. She has a very thin hairline split on the top of her left leg. It is not seen. She has a nice body with no major scratches or issues. Her legs are tight and so are her knees. She has her original honey blonde wig. Her eyes are blue and they have full, original lashes. She has had blush and a matte finish protectant applied by airbrush to her face. There is a slight bit of original glue splatter under the left brow, faint, but it is there. She has no earring holes. This item is in excellent, undisplayed condition. There are no stains or tears and is gorgeous! The doll is NOT for sale. This outstanding ensemble was made by an unknown seamstress. I cannot find a tag to give her/him credit. Hopefully they will see this and let me know so I can share with you. The dress is floor length. Please forgive my pitiful attempts at photographing this because I haven’t done it justice. It is beyonf description gorgeous! It has a dark lilac tulle over a lavender organdy dress with capped sleeves. There are two rhinestones over a tulle adornment on the neckline. Flowers grace the shoulders as well as a floral swag down the left side from the waist. A pink taffeta petticoat with a ruffled tulle that matches the dress is included. Finally, lavender gauntlets and an almost purple velvet hair bow with pins to attach it, see pic. This comes from a smoke-free home. Thank you for looking. Cissy is clean and has no odors, stains, splits or cracks. She has had professional split repair done to the top of both legs. She has new stringing to her head and arms. Her arms are a very nice match and have no splits to the rubber. She has an original Cissy honey blonde wig that is clean and reset. She has pretty blue eyes that have just a hint of amber. The eyes have had lashes repaired and the eyes have been reset. They open perfect, but are just a bit shy of closing all the way. She has had blush applied and a UV protectant matte finish applied to her face. She has no earring holes. Cissy’s new outfit consists of a red, white and aqua seersucker cotton dress, new slip, vintage panties (not Cissy issue), Cissy nylons, new aqua elastic shoes, a cute little aqua stone ring, and a new straw hat with veiling and flowers across the top. Her dress has a fully lined bodice in the same cute aqua check as her slip is made of, waist is serged, bodice closes with 4 square snaps, and the front of the dress has vintage Tiffany style crystals. The bodice has bias trim around the armholes, and a hand sewn 2 hem on the skirt. The checked slip has gathered tulle on the inside and outside of the slip, with red, vintage rick rack on the outside. Vintage 50′s high fashion Madame Alexander 20 Cissy doll in OOAK ensemble. Please view the last photo. The outfit on the right is a Christian Dior dress totally covered in flowers, and the ensemble on the left shows the same type of 50′s style with a flower encrusted bodice only. Cissy’s outfit is a two part bodice and skirt. The skirt is a full length lavender fluid charmeuse circle skirt that is fully lined with a lightweight tulle. The bodice has an inner lightweight crinoline and a cotton batiste outer shell, covered with vintage silk flowers and then lined. It snaps up the back with 3 square snaps. Under the ensemble is a full length satin 1/2 slip, a pair of Cissy panties with new elastic at waist, a pair of vintage nylons with a few small holes, and a pair of newly made lavender shoes. Please note that in the nude pictures of Cissy, you see a clear stone bracelet. It is not included, just the multicolored one. Also included is a matching hair clip made with same type flowers of the bodice and a pair of lovely purple gloves to accent her many colored flowers. Cissy herself is a show stopper! She has lovely, full long red hair that is tied up at the sides and pulled back into a long chignon. Her face has had a full spa treatment. All new painted lashes, brows, lips and blush. A matte finish/sealer was applied. She has new lashes in her gorgeous blue eyes. Her arms are nice and have no rips to the rubber. No odors or stains. No split repairs and very minimal inner thigh rubs. There is a small hairline split on the top of the right leg. So thin and not seen unless the leg is tipped out. She felt it was made in the late 50′s. It was made for her Cissy doll by a neighbor. The neighbor made the dress primarily from her own wedding dress. She had no children, and apparently was close to the little girl next door, so she made this amazing dress for her. I don’t know if she was a professional seamstress, but she certainly knew her stuff! The detail in this outfit just goes on and on! The dress and slip have been carefully cleaned and steamed/pressed. So, let’s start with the dress. The dress is satin and it has seed pearl encrusted appliques sewn on it. The dress is not a bright white but has turned a soft ecru color with age. The satin is in pretty nice condition for being 60 years old, with a few bruised areas to the fabric, but no major staining or holes. The bodice is heavily covered in seed pearls, string pearls, and lace. Look closely at the pictures and see the detailed buttonhole stitching that was sewn over every dart and seam of the bodice! Same detail at the sleeve edge. The bodice closes with loops and small buttons and a metal zipper. The bodice fits Cissy absolutely perfect. The skirt of the dress is expertly darted and pleated to accommodate the large wire and horsehair made cage underslip. The back has a long train of looped ribbon. Lace is sewn in layers around the hem. The slip is made of heavy white polished cotton. It is simple in style, but not design. It too is expertly designed to fit over the cage underslip. Note the detailed gussets sewn into the back of the slip. And then, there are 29.5 yards of lace around the bottom! The slip is pretty enough to display by itself! The wired underslip is a work of art in itself. It is the only item I did not hand wash, as the cage is actually made of wire covered with thread and I was afraid the wire would rust. There are a few small rust spots on the part that goes around her waist, but of course, none of that shows when on a doll. The cage is held on with 2 snaps and a ribbon tied around her waist. The wire has become bent and twisted a bit from age and storage, but although it is not the prettiest part of the ensemble, it is workable to make the dress stand out exactly where it is supposed to. The cage also has a nylon puckered bustle sewn across the back. The veil has a heavily encrusted headpiece of pearls, looped satin cording, and lace. It fits my Cissy doll with the updo beautifully. However, the doll that it came with had the shorter Cissy type of casual hairdo. It still looked lovely on her too. The tulle of the veil is in nice condition. The ensemble will also come with a pair of pink Cissy panties. They have new elastic and some repair done at the leg edge. A newly made blue garter, some vintage Cissy nylons, a pearl necklace and a pair of plastic shoes with satin ribbons decorating them. A new bouquet was also made for Cissy with vintage flowers. (stand nor doll are included). This wedding outfit is so unique. I hope someone can envision their beautiful Cissy doll decked out with this gown fit for a queen! As common with Cissy there are some missing eyelashes on her right eye and a few stray hairs with some residual glue on one side and under the back of the wig, but in our opinion do little to detract from her INFAMOUS BEAUTY! Cissy’s body is simply AMAZING; jointed at the neck and arms at the top of the torso, elbows and hand, and jointed legs at the hip and knees, which still retain a light blushing! Her head, FEMALE SHAPED torso and legs are made of HARD PLASTIC; her arms and hands are of soft plastic or vinyl for easy posing! She is marked at the back of the neck “ALEXANDER”, and has no apparent splitting at the seams or tops of her legs which are also common to this doll——Cissy is in overall DISPLAY READY condition ready to be dressed by her next lucky owner! This is really a gorgeous Cissy doll. She has wonderful original face color and lashes and even her eyeshadow. Pretty blonde hair and she has a replaced hair bar. Aside from the leg cracks her body is excellent and her knees maintain the blush. One of the wig sides could use a little glue. Her lavender organdy dress, slip and panties are very crisp.
