Madame Alexander Dolls

This wonderful Cissy has been cleaned, restrung to head and arms, a bit of blush added, new lashes, and her wig put back into its original style. This doll was a transitional doll and this is how she came with her original stringing, an infused body and a painted face. She has no earring holes, so Swarovski crystals were glued to her ears. She has a small hairline crack high up on the right leg, very thin and not seen. Her hips are tight as are her knees. Her arms are nice with no rips or tears. To accompany Cissy is her new garden party ensemble. This fabric reminded me of her original garden party dress that was painted with flowers. This is new fabric, not vintage. These flowers are embroidered on net fabric. I have added some silk pink flowers and prong set Swarovski crystals to the front of the dress, as the original dress had. The bodice is watermark taffeta with the netting overlayed and lined with organdy. All seams are finished. Bodice closes in the back with square snaps and hook and eye at the waist. The skirt has an underlayment of organdy and under that is a stiff nylon slip from a portrait doll. It fits perfect and gives a nice lift to the skirt. Cissy is also wearing vintage (not Cissy) satin panties, new nylons, new silver heels, new pearl necklace and bracelet, new gauntlet gloves, and a gorgeous hat by Richard’s Originals. She is ready for display! Please view them and chose the most convenient for you. Note: Because there are so many people doing repairs on these lovely dolls and I have been asked many questions, I would like to clarify a bit of the work I do. I have had training in plastic and composition repairs and have been doing them for many years. My spa treatments are done with solvent based paints that are air brushed on, the same that are used on plastic bumpers on cars. The paint is UV protected and is permanent and will not rub off. The paint is also sealed with a UV protectant sealer. It also is permanent and will not yellow or wash off. I remove the eyes through the neck opening and replace them back the same way once eyelash and eye repair is finished. I do NOT split the head open, nor would I recommend it. I try to always think of the long term effects of my repairs and fixes. As for the clothing I make, I try to make them as close to an original design as possible. I also try to use vintage 50′s fabrics as often as I can. If I do not, I will always state so. I do not photoshop or alter my pictures in any way. This gorgeous Cissy has had a spa treatment to her face. Slight blush added and some matte finish applied. She has her original eyelashes and her eyes are a dark blue with just the beginnings of some green. The flash makes her eyes look more green than they really are. She has had her lips repainted a pretty red. She has a lovely Yardley style brunette wig. It is full and clean. It has nice curl in the back and is very easy to keep turned under, and looks nice loose as in the nude pictures or tied back with a ribbon, which is how she will come to you. She has normal wear to the neck area and inner thigh. She has nice arms that have no rips or tears. She is newly restrung to head and arms. She has had upper leg and lower outside knee repair and repaint on the left leg. Cissy’s chemise has been soaked clean. It has all snaps, though the top snap area is stretched. Her shoes are very nice Cissy mule shoes. The back elastic is stretched a bit, but they do stay on for a standing pose. Stand, chair and boa are props and are not included. Now here is a pretty ray of sunshine to brighten your heart! The outfit is clean and has never been displayed. It is made from a crisp seer sucker type checkered taffeta. Fabric is not vintage. It has been made in true Cissy style with a square neckline encircled with a silver ribbon, puffed sleeves which also sport the ribbon around the bottom of the sleeve, 2 hand sewn hem, tightly pleated waist on the skirt, and Tiffany set Swarovski crystals scattered on the bodice. Neckline and sleeves also have gathered vintage lace. Bodice is fully lined with white organdy. Back closes with 4 square snaps. The slip is heavy nylon with a row of gathered tulle on the inside and outside of the hem. The outside layer also sports a pretty row of lace. To accompany the outfit is a lucite purse with a corsage, a diamond ring, diamond earrings, a pair of original Cissy panties, a new pair of nylons, and a newer pair of pretty lavender shoes with roses. This lovely Cissy has no cracks, splits, odors, stains, chews, or repairs. She is newly restrung to her head and her arms. She has had lash fill in on her left eye. Her eyes are a lovely blue. They have been removed and reset. She has had airbrush blush added and a matte protective sealer to her face. Her beautiful blonde wig was removed and reglued. It was combed out to get her hairdo back in order, but it is in it’s original set and style. New tie backs on the sides and a new brass spanner bar. Arms are nice and legs and knees are tight. This is an original vintage Madame Alexander Cissy tagged navy blue taffeta cocktail dress with its hard-to-find original stole and hat from 1957. As seen on page 51 of The Cissy Files by Kiley Shaw , this capped sleeve dress of navy blue taffeta is truly lovely. This tagged, little dress features a gathered bodice and a dropped waist. This cocktail ensemble is completed with a pleated organdy stole and a little gathered tulle confection of a hat. Both of these are original & are adorned with the signature Madame Alexander pink roses. Madame Alexander borrowed heavily from Christian Diors Spring 1956 Collection in Paris. At that time, Vogue Magazine reported that Dior presented a Cocktail Ensemble….. Silk taffeta, silk organza dress (see photos in the listing). This little cocktail ensemble a la Dior is in great condition. Along with the complete, original outfit you will receive a matching purse and a reproduction Cissy hang-tag. Here comes Cissy in her new cocktail outfit. She is ready for an evening of entertaining in this smart new ensemble. Included in it is a very lovely pair of black velveteen ankle length pants. They have a gold elastic waist. They close at the side and the seam is lined with a placket. Her top is a cotton knit fabric that snaps up the back with black snaps on gross grain ribbon on both sides. Of course this outfit could be worn without the gorgeous red sashing, but Cissy takes it up a notch with this red accent. The sashing is a cummerbund with a gathered and layered bow at the side. The sashing closes with two snaps. A vintage gold tone and diamond earring was used to give it a bit more pizzazz. Finally, included are her gold heels. Cissy is a thing of beauty herself. She is clean, has no odors, stains, or repairs. She has a very thin hairline split on the top of her left leg. It is not seen. She has a nice body with no major scratches or issues. Her legs are tight and so are her knees. She has her original honey blonde wig. Her eyes are blue and they have full, original lashes. She has had blush and a matte finish protectant applied by airbrush to her face. There is a slight bit of original glue splatter under the left brow, faint, but it is there. She has no earring holes. This item is in excellent, undisplayed condition. There are no stains or tears and is gorgeous! The doll is NOT for sale. This outstanding ensemble was made by an unknown seamstress. I cannot find a tag to give her/him credit. Hopefully they will see this and let me know so I can share with you. The dress is floor length. Please forgive my pitiful attempts at photographing this because I haven’t done it justice. It is beyonf description gorgeous! It has a dark lilac tulle over a lavender organdy dress with capped sleeves. There are two rhinestones over a tulle adornment on the neckline. Flowers grace the shoulders as well as a floral swag down the left side from the waist. A pink taffeta petticoat with a ruffled tulle that matches the dress is included. Her dress has a fully lined bodice in the same cute aqua check as her slip is made of, waist is serged, bodice closes with 4 square snaps, and the front of the dress has vintage Tiffany style crystals. The bodice has bias trim around the armholes, and a hand sewn 2 hem on the skirt. The checked slip has gathered tulle on the inside and outside of the slip, with red, vintage rick rack on the outside. Vintage 50′s high fashion Madame Alexander 20 Cissy doll in OOAK ensemble. Please view the last photo. The outfit on the right is a Christian Dior dress totally covered in flowers, and the ensemble on the left shows the same type of 50′s style with a flower encrusted bodice only. Cissy’s outfit is a two part bodice and skirt. The skirt is a full length lavender fluid charmeuse circle skirt that is fully lined with a lightweight tulle. The bodice has an inner lightweight crinoline and a cotton batiste outer shell, covered with vintage silk flowers and then lined. It snaps up the back with 3 square snaps. Under the ensemble is a full length satin 1/2 slip, a pair of Cissy panties with new elastic at waist, a pair of vintage nylons with a few small holes, and a pair of newly made lavender shoes. Please note that in the nude pictures of Cissy, you see a clear stone bracelet. It is not included, just the multicolored one. Also included is a matching hair clip made with same type flowers of the bodice and a pair of lovely purple gloves to accent her many colored flowers. Cissy herself is a show stopper! She has lovely, full long red hair that is tied up at the sides and pulled back into a long chignon. Her face has had a full spa treatment. All new painted lashes, brows, lips and blush. A matte finish/sealer was applied. She has new lashes in her gorgeous blue eyes. Her arms are nice and have no rips to the rubber. No odors or stains.
