Presented here today is the amazing early Madame Alexander Cissy doll in a new winter outfit. The doll is in beautiful condition. She has one little flaw where the paint had split a bit under her right ear. It is not split through the plastic, but only the paint. I added a little new paint inside the paint split. It is not seen unless the hair is pulled back. This doll was never played with and I don’t believe she was displayed, or if she was she was well protected from dust and sunlight. She has no odors, stains, or chews. She has no cracks or splits or repair of such. She has vibrant red hair still in its stiff, original set. The curls have never been combed out. She has lovely blue clear eyes and original lashes. She has had no spa treatment and no repaint of any kind. I added just a hint of pastel dry paint to her cheeks. Many of the early Cissys did not have blush at all originally. She has lovely “skin” with no scratches or nicks. She has just a minimal amount of inner thigh rub and neck rub. She has been restrung to her head and arms. She has been cleaned gently on the inside and outside. Her arms match very well and have no nicks on the inside of the socket. Her hips are tight as are her knees. She does not have earring holes. She is marked on the back of her head “Alexander”. Cissy is dressed for a day on the town. The weather is getting a bit cooler, so she is ready for what may come. Her coat and dress are made from boiled 100% wool and is a pretty purple color. Both dress and coat are lined with a light weight lavender taffeta. The coat has a wide faux fur collar and fur around the cuffs of the coat. The coat closes with 2 snaps. Her dress is a simple straight line dress. It closes in back with snaps. Also part of her ensemble is a matching fur pill box style hat and a purse to match her ensemble. She is wearing a pair of Cissy panties, vintage nylons, new pearl necklace and bracelet and newer black strap shoes. Oh, and the ring… Do not forget the ring! 1960s Madame Alexander 20 HTF Renoir Cissy doll in original ensemble. In my Cissy book it says she is 1959 but when I researched her a little more on the Internet I believe she is from 1961. She is called the Renoir in Yellow. This is a portrait model Renoir Cissy from 1961. Sissy is 20 inches tall made of hard plastic with vinyl arms. She has a gorgeous brunette specially hairstyle blue sleep eyes with full lashes, vivid facial coloring with no flaws. The doll has not been seen in any catalogs but is believed to be for my missing back cover of a 1959 catalog. Her sleeveless dressed is unadorned and made of heavy slipper satin and also tagged Madam Alexander Cissy. Her matching jacket is trim with black sequin braid trim. She carries a black velvet purse which this is a Madame Alexander purse but not original to the Renoir outfit. Her outfit is not perfect. It has a few pin holes and a couple small stains. Also a very snags. Easily cover by how full her dress is. I also added a Madame Alexander portrait doll petticoat. Her shoes are awesome Madame Alexander Cissy shoes WithI believe her Original seam stockings. Braided low bun Renoir is what her wig is called. A spanner bar pulls her hair back tight and loose curls to make a low bun wrapped in a braid. She is a brunette. She has a show stopping Black velvet bonnet bedecked with colorful silk flowers and a velvet ribbon black net facial veil. And magnificent cameo necklace with matching earrings. Stunning All Original Cissy wearing Tagged crisp and vivid dress of red polished cotton w/ white cuffs and 3 buttons on the front. White horsehair hat with dotted tulle that ties under her chin. Can-can slip, panties with lace trim, seamed stockings, black strappy sandals, hatbox with gloves, curlers and comb and Original hang tag from 1958. Her ensemble is Simply Stunning. And Cissy, oh my, she is as Near Mint as Near Mint can be. All Original with crystal blue eyes with full lashes, high color blush, rosy red lips, and perfect body with no cracks, splits or repairs. Beautiful brunette with crimped curls still in hair net, that frame her gorgeous infused face. This Gorgeous Girl is a Show Stopper. She also has faux pearl earrings and a faux diamond ring. She is 20 tall with a hard plastic body and vinyl sleeved arms. She is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows , hips and knees. The only issue I can find is her head is a little loose. With blonde hair arranged with forehead curls and flip, wearing tagged blue polished cotton shirtwaist with white braid trim, white taffeta petticoat, panties, stockings, white slings with silver heels, pearl earrings, white woven bonnet with blue streamers. Alexander, Cissette, circa 1960, model 810, described in the catalog as “for tea in the garden, simple cotton dress trimmed with braid” is in good condition with crisp coloring. Note: Condition is as seen. One shoe is missing. There are few tiny discolorations on the dress and yellowing on the slip. Her earrings have tarnished. I have replaced her hose. This wonderful Cissy has been cleaned, restrung to head and arms, a bit of blush added, new lashes, and her wig put back into its original style. This doll was a transitional doll and this is how she came with her original stringing, an infused body and a painted face. She has no earring holes, so Swarovski crystals were glued to her ears. She has a small hairline crack high up on the right leg, very thin and not seen. Her hips are tight as are her knees. Her arms are nice with no rips or tears. To accompany Cissy is her new garden party ensemble. This fabric reminded me of her original garden party dress that was painted with flowers. This is new fabric, not vintage. These flowers are embroidered on net fabric. I have added some silk pink flowers and prong set Swarovski crystals to the front of the dress, as the original dress had. The bodice is watermark taffeta with the netting overlayed and lined with organdy. All seams are finished. Bodice closes in the back with square snaps and hook and eye at the waist. The skirt has an underlayment of organdy and under that is a stiff nylon slip from a portrait doll. It fits perfect and gives a nice lift to the skirt. Cissy is also wearing vintage (not Cissy) satin panties, new nylons, new silver heels, new pearl necklace and bracelet, new gauntlet gloves, and a gorgeous hat by Richard’s Originals. She is ready for display! Please view them and chose the most convenient for you. Note: Because there are so many people doing repairs on these lovely dolls and I have been asked many questions, I would like to clarify a bit of the work I do. I have had training in plastic and composition repairs and have been doing them for many years. My spa treatments are done with solvent based paints that are air brushed on, the same that are used on plastic bumpers on cars. The paint is UV protected and is permanent and will not rub off. The paint is also sealed with a UV protectant sealer. It also is permanent and will not yellow or wash off. I remove the eyes through the neck opening and replace them back the same way once eyelash and eye repair is finished. I do NOT split the head open, nor would I recommend it. I try to always think of the long term effects of my repairs and fixes. As for the clothing I make, I try to make them as close to an original design as possible. I also try to use vintage 50′s fabrics as often as I can. If I do not, I will always state so. I do not photoshop or alter my pictures in any way. This gorgeous Cissy has had a spa treatment to her face. Slight blush added and some matte finish applied. She has her original eyelashes and her eyes are a dark blue with just the beginnings of some green. The flash makes her eyes look more green than they really are. She has had her lips repainted a pretty red. She has a lovely Yardley style brunette wig. It is full and clean. It has nice curl in the back and is very easy to keep turned under, and looks nice loose as in the nude pictures or tied back with a ribbon, which is how she will come to you. She has normal wear to the neck area and inner thigh. She has nice arms that have no rips or tears. She is newly restrung to head and arms. She has had upper leg and lower outside knee repair and repaint on the left leg. Cissy’s chemise has been soaked clean. It has all snaps, though the top snap area is stretched. Her shoes are very nice Cissy mule shoes. The back elastic is stretched a bit, but they do stay on for a standing pose. Stand, chair and boa are props and are not included. Now here is a pretty ray of sunshine to brighten your heart! The outfit is clean and has never been displayed. It is made from a crisp seer sucker type checkered taffeta. Fabric is not vintage. It has been made in true Cissy style with a square neckline encircled with a silver ribbon, puffed sleeves which also sport the ribbon around the bottom of the sleeve, 2 hand sewn hem, tightly pleated waist on the skirt, and Tiffany set Swarovski crystals scattered on the bodice. Neckline and sleeves also have gathered vintage lace. Bodice is fully lined with white organdy. Back closes with 4 square snaps. The slip is heavy nylon with a row of gathered tulle on the inside and outside of the hem. The outside layer also sports a pretty row of lace. To accompany the outfit is a lucite purse with a corsage, a diamond ring, diamond earrings, a pair of original Cissy panties, a new pair of nylons, and a newer pair of pretty lavender shoes with roses. This lovely Cissy has no cracks, splits, odors, stains, chews, or repairs. She is newly restrung to her head and her arms. She has had lash fill in on her left eye. Her eyes are a lovely blue. They have been removed and reset. She has had airbrush blush added and a matte protective sealer to her face. Her beautiful blonde wig was removed and reglued. It was combed out to get her hairdo back in order, but it is in it’s original set and style. New tie backs on the sides and a new brass spanner bar. Arms are nice and legs and knees are tight. Stand is not included. She does not have white dots on her chin, that is her diamonds reflecting from the flash. Absolutely a joy to behold! I do not photoshop or alter my pictures in any way. This is an original vintage Madame Alexander Cissy tagged navy blue taffeta cocktail dress with its hard-to-find original stole and hat from 1957. As seen on page 51 of The Cissy Files by Kiley Shaw , this capped sleeve dress of navy blue taffeta is truly lovely. This tagged, little dress features a gathered bodice and a dropped waist. This cocktail ensemble is completed with a pleated organdy stole and a little gathered tulle confection of a hat. Both of these are original & are adorned with the signature Madame Alexander pink roses. Madame Alexander borrowed heavily from Christian Diors Spring 1956 Collection in Paris. At that time, Vogue Magazine reported that Dior presented a Cocktail Ensemble….. Silk taffeta, silk organza dress (see photos in the listing). This little cocktail ensemble a la Dior is in great condition. Along with the complete, original outfit you will receive a matching purse and a reproduction Cissy hang-tag.
