Madame Alexander Dolls

For sale is a vintage jointed Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She was an Estate Sale find so I dont know much about her. 20 inches tall, jointed rubber arms, jointed hard plastic legs, green eyes (think they are suppose to open and close but they do not, some eyelashes missing from left eye), earring holes. I believe her wig/hair color is auburn or red. Hair need a bit of styling, some very light soiling on her arms I will leave cleaning up to her new owner. She comes with; panties, bra, lacey half slip, pair of nylons, pair of lacy gloves, pair of black shoes, watch pin, bracelet with faux diamonds (broke when I took it off her wrist, can be fixed it is an elastic band), long pink nightgown? With lace bodice Cissy tag inside, 2 piece pant outfit jacket has Cissy tag inside pants do not, 2 piece skirt outfit skirt has Cissy tag inside jacket does not, navy blue silky dress with white straw hat dress has Cissy tag inside. Dress has a small hole on bodice and 1 seam also needs some repair. All the other clothes are in good condition, not perfect need ironing and you may find a mark or two. Please Note, the message was sent to me about the multi-colored skirt & I thought I would post it. Like I said this doll lot is an Estate Sale find and I don’t know anything about her. I can tell she has been stored, clothes do need ironing and a little TLC. You are incorrect about the fraying on the skirt. Someone has ironed the skirt with a too hot iron and the gold foil has become very frayed. It is not supposed to hang a bottom. The threads have loosened from the fabric. It is a problem and not part of design of the fabric. The skirt has been mishandled… I DO NOT CONTROL THE POST OFFICE! I have no control over their prices. From our family collection of wonderful dolls, we offer to you for your consideration this exceptionally lovely “Elise” by Madame Alexander. She has been used only for display on a doll stand in a closed china cabinet and is in excellent condition. She is eighteen inches tall, including her hat, and her hard plastic body has vinyl arms and is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles. Her shoulders are a little loose. Her brunette hair is in the original set, and her pretty blue sleep eyes work perfectly with all brush lashes intact. She has a beautiful facial complexion and facial coloring. Her hands and fingers are quite detailed, and she has lovely pink nails. Because Elise has jointed ankles, she can wear flats as well as high heels. Elise’s clothing has never been removed. She is wearing a pink taffeta dress with long sleeves and a round neck. The sleeves are gathered at the shoulders, and the skirt is double tiered in the front with an attached apron-like overlay. The gathered flounce on the overlay is the same width as the gathered flounce at the bottom of the skirt. The dress closes in the back with four snaps. Six vertical rows of gathered white lace cover the front bodice, and two. Rows of the lace accent the neck and the wrists. A black boucle’ trim accents the waist and the wrists. Two black velvet bows accent the flounce on the apron. Under her dress Elise wears a white taffeta half-slip with an elastic waist and a double row of gathered crinoline on the underside, white taffeta panties with elastic waist and lace-trimmed legs, and nude-colored seamed stockings. On the dress tag….. Completing Elise’s ensemble. Strappy silver high-heeled shoes. A drawstring pouch purse… Pink taffeta with plum-colored lace overlay, black tassel, black strap, and black boucle’ drawstring. Cream-colored straw hat with cream-colored netting and pink, red, and white flowers, and green, white, and yellow leaves. NOTE: The netting is very brittle. A solitaire “garnet” ring. Triple rhinestone drop earrings. A black and white cameo pendant on a black choker. A black velvet bow in her “updo”. Elise’s wrist tag is tied on to her left wrist with a pink string. Also on her left wrist is her original price tag from a department store in Greensboro, North Carolina. Thalhimers Ellis-Stone D660 44 21.98. Handwritten in black ink someone drew a line through the 21.98 and added 10.99. Inside her Madame Alexander wrist tag….. Fully jointed doll made entirely of plastic. I even have jointed ankles so I can wear high heeled shoes or flatties. My beautiful hair can be combed and brushed. Elise’s doll stand is included.
