Vtg 1950′s Madame Alexander ELISE 15 Doll Hard Plastic w Jointed Vinyl Body. Doll is in nice clean working condition. She has not been restrung and still has her original band inside arms. Her eyes are nice and bright with full lashes. She has a light complexion with nice face paint. Her joints are good. It does take a bit of gentle pressure to put her in a sitting position. I put the right leg in first then the left leg goes more easily. Other than that, she will need a doll stand to display. Her outfit is not tagged and is a beautiful sea blue green color. It appears to be made of organdy where her slip is made of satin. I’ve replaced her nylons and shoes. She comes with a nice faux white shawl. She is a very nice doll. Her joints are tight, but her right knee does not bend back as far as her left. She came to me new like this. Box shows minor storage wear. Below is a little more information about this sweet doll. Madame Alexander Cissy Vintage 20 Jointed Doll With Tagged Cissy Dress! This is a very beautiful Cissy doll. She has been cleaned and styled and ready for display. I see no cracks on her body, however the factory seam between her legs appears open but it is not. She has a few scuffed areas on her body mainly on her inner thighs. Here is a lovely beautifully preserved Madame Alexander Madelaine doll which ranged from 1950-53. Some sellers refer to it as “Madeline”, but the tag has the correct spelling. She is the first of her vinyl-headed dolls with a hard plastic body, jointed at the neck, arms, elbows, hips & knees. This one is a wonderful 18 example from 1952 (appears in this tagged pink outfit on page 49 of the reference book Madame Alexanders Collectors Dolls Price Guide #15, by Patricia A Smith, 1990) with dark blonde shiny curls a glued on wig fine facial color with no gouges nor scratches, & pale hazel sleep eyes with real lashes. Her expression is not just a blank empty look, is so pleasant & endearing. The tagged pink organdy dress trimmed with lace & pale blue ribbon has a white cotton petticoat & pink panties. The black real leather slip on shoes may or may not be original, but are definitely by the same age, are of super fine quality, marked The Halls, in a circle inside on the sole. Her socks have a pink stripe at the ankle. Of course, the hat has been added just for fun, made of woven vinyl? Straw, a pink velvet ribbon, & vintage silk velveteen flowersa good match for the outfit. There are no stains nor losses, repairs nor cracks to the doll nor her outfita very clean & well-preserved doll that does not appear to have been played with. Her body is securely strung but is a bit loose, in so far as she does not stand alone but responds to some posing, however not sloppyjointed as is. From a No Smoke Environment. Elise Bridal Doll This beautiful Madame Alexander Doll is in great vintage condition. She is fully jointed and 16 inches tall. Elise comes in her marked bridal gown with original panties and slip. She also comes with her original silver high heels, hose, garter belt, earrings and necklace. The necklace needs some repair and she may need to be restrung. Her eyes open and shut as they should.
