Okay guys Ive been putting this off too long now, reason being I dont know much about the beautiful doll except what I have researched. The doll in the photos are the doll you will receive. Ive never had a 1953 Doll look this good. Sleepy eyes open and close. She can actually stand on her on. She walks with ease and head turns as she moves her legs. Her hair is Reddish brown. Face paint is beautiful. Wig is is great condition. Her outfit is original and in great condition. The white undergarments could use a wash. But have probably never been removed. Hat is original and in good condition with a little fraying around the edges. I dont think these are original shoes but are madame Alexander. Missing the hat box. The major flaw are the wig glue one both sides of her face where the wig has came a little loose? Just dried glue I think could probably be remove if you know how. Margaret faced “Margot Ballerina” by Madame Alexander. Believe this dates to 1954. #1850 of the 1954 Madame Alexander catalog. Her hair is waved away from her face and secured at the back in her original hair net. Spanner bar on top of head. Dark blonde hair is accented with pink and white flowers. Pink Satin and tulle costume is accented with sparkly rhinestones on the bodice. Pink satin slippers with satin ties. Head turns from side to side when arms are moved. Eyes close when laid down. They do open and close fine. Faint stray mark on upper right arm and one on her left shoulder. Super faint stray marks on upper chest and on upper back. I don’t know much about dolls, but this was my mother’s and she was born in 1943. She obviously wasn’t allowed to play with her much because she is in really good shape. I believe all of her clothing is original, though I do not know that for sure. She has a petticoat and pantaloons under her dress. Her clothes could use a good ironing, but I didn’t want to attempt it. I would really love for her to have a better life than that! Her joints work well. She has some uniform light crazing on her face and legs, but I don’t think that detracts from her at all. There is also some pink staining on her socks and some wear on the bottom of her shoes (see pics). Overall a really nice looking doll that I would probably pass down to my one of my children had I not had two boys. They think she is creepy! 1950s MADAME ALEXANDER QUEEN ELIZABETH DOLL MARGARET FACE. This vintage RARE Madame Alexander Coronation Queen doll is all original and never-played-with. She measures approximately 17 in height, and everything shes wearing is original to this doll. Her wig is minty, original and uncombed. Face color is vivid with nice red lips, and clear eyes with full lashes. Her HP body is in very nice condition and her walker mechanism works smoothly. There are some discoloration spots on her chest which is shown in the pictures. Her clothing has been gently laundered and is in good condition with the exception of a small hole along the bottom of her dress front. Also, her gloves show wear if you look closely. 1950 Madame Alexander Margaret Face 18 CINDERELLA #8800 Doll w/ Box. Hair still in net. However, Her head and right arm are no longer attached as the band inside broke. So, she will need to be repaired as far as that goes. Has her beaded necklace and bracelet. Seems only thing missing is wrist tag. Stress lines on her glass slippers. Box is in poor shape but will be included. Original tissue under the new white tissue. Lid is in really poor shape. All 4 flaps are gone, has brown tape, a chunk missing at the corner and discolored like the bottom of the box. Label on box is faded but can make out the word “Cinderella” and style “8800″.
