Here is an extremely rare , signed Madame Alexander, hard plastic, “Margaret Ice Skater” , doll with original, pink taffeta, tagged skating dress with pink marabou & flower trim. She has the Margaret face and stands, 14 1/2 tall with lovely sleep blue eyes, perfect inset eyelashes as well as painted lower eyelashes, eyebrows and closed mouth. Her soft auburn, full wig is in the original set in curls with thick bangs and adorned with pink satin ribbon and flower trim. She wears matching pink satin ribbon and flower sash and wonderful matching pink taffeta trimmed panties and original gold ice skates. She is in excellent condition with no holes or tears in her gown, no cracks, chips or scuffs, no repairs, no odors or stains and is from a smoke free home. (loc 50) See references on page 78-79, Mme. Vintage 14 Madame Alexander Composition ALICE IN WONDERLAND Beauty. This 14 Princess Margaret Rose is pure sunshine in her frothy lemon gown. While the gown makes the doll, it is not Madame Alexander, however a famous seamstress and toy company owner sewed this simply enchanting gown. It is beautifully-crafted snd has a lemon taffeta under skirt as well as a lemon net attached petticoat which makes the gown fluff out elegantly. The gown is embellished with a yellow satin ribbon sash and a sprig of violet flowers at her waist and in her heir. Her blonde hair is made of the softest mohair and remains in its original set. She wears nylons and pink slipper satin Alexander ballet shoes with ribbon ties. This hard plastic Margaret Rose was made for three years between 1947 and 1950. Okay guys Ive been putting this off too long now, reason being I dont know much about the beautiful doll except what I have researched. The doll in the photos are the doll you will receive. Ive never had a 1953 Doll look this good. Sleepy eyes open and close. She can actually stand on her on. She walks with ease and head turns as she moves her legs. Her hair is Reddish brown. Face paint is beautiful. Wig is is great condition. Her outfit is original and in great condition. The white undergarments could use a wash. But have probably never been removed. Hat is original and in good condition with a little fraying around the edges. I dont think these are original shoes but are madame Alexander. Missing the hat box. The major flaw are the wig glue one both sides of her face where the wig has came a little loose? Just dried glue I think could probably be remove if you know how. Margaret faced “Margot Ballerina” by Madame Alexander. Believe this dates to 1954. #1850 of the 1954 Madame Alexander catalog. Her hair is waved away from her face and secured at the back in her original hair net. Spanner bar on top of head. Dark blonde hair is accented with pink and white flowers. Pink Satin and tulle costume is accented with sparkly rhinestones on the bodice. Pink satin slippers with satin ties. Head turns from side to side when arms are moved. Eyes close when laid down. They do open and close fine. Faint stray mark on upper right arm and one on her left shoulder. Super faint stray marks on upper chest and on upper back. I don’t know much about dolls, but this was my mother’s and she was born in 1943. She obviously wasn’t allowed to play with her much because she is in really good shape. I believe all of her clothing is original, though I do not know that for sure. She has a petticoat and pantaloons under her dress. Her clothes could use a good ironing, but I didn’t want to attempt it. I would really love for her to have a better life than that! Her joints work well. She has some uniform light crazing on her face and legs, but I don’t think that detracts from her at all. There is also some pink staining on her socks and some wear on the bottom of her shoes (see pics). Overall a really nice looking doll that I would probably pass down to my one of my children had I not had two boys. They think she is creepy! 1950s MADAME ALEXANDER QUEEN ELIZABETH DOLL MARGARET FACE. This vintage RARE Madame Alexander Coronation Queen doll is all original and never-played-with. She measures approximately 17 in height, and everything shes wearing is original to this doll. Her wig is minty, original and uncombed. Face color is vivid with nice red lips, and clear eyes with full lashes. Her HP body is in very nice condition and her walker mechanism works smoothly. There are some discoloration spots on her chest which is shown in the pictures. Her clothing has been gently laundered and is in good condition with the exception of a small hole along the bottom of her dress front. Also, her gloves show wear if you look closely.
