This is one of the loveliest walker dolls I’ve seen. The only marking I have found on her is a raised “200″ on the base of her head on the back near the neckline. She appears to be hard plastic with a matte toning which mimics composition (though she has mold lines at her fingers). Her clothing is all original. The cross at her waist is marked “Czechoslav” on the backside. Her arms and legs are not jointed. Her arms are swing arms with attachment at the shoulder but do not have much range of motion due to the habit that she is wearing. The legs swing and move her head back and forth in the typical walker doll movement. She has blue sleep eyes and the upper lashes on both eyes are present. Lower lashes are painted features as shown. She has a delicate open mouth with teeth and red felt backing. She does not have any hair as her veiling is attached to the head and not removable. She stands nearly 18 1/2 tall. Her cheeks and coloration have been delicately added. In person, she is simply lovely – no other word for it. No cracking, crazing, or chipping of her body, limbs, face, etc. Her clothing is in excellent condition. Which is the weight of the item and packing materials used to get it safely to your door. MADAME ALEXANDER’S JANE WITHERS DOLL 13 TALL WITH NO MARKINGS ON BACK OF DOLL. THE SMALLEST SIZE HAD EITHER A CLOSED MOUTH OR OPEN WITH TEETH AND SOME WERE UNMARKED. SHE IS ALL COMPOSITION AND HAS NOT BEEN RESTORED EXCEPT FOR RESTRINGING. I DO NOT SEE ANY CRAZING, SHE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR HER AGE. JANE HAS A REPLACED MOHAIR WIG WITH LOTS OF CURLS. THE FIRST DOLL WAS PRODUCED IN 1937 IN FOURS SIZES. THIS JANE HAS A CLOSED MOUTH AND SLEEP EYES WHICH ARE A LITTLE CLOUDY BUT HAVE BEEN GIVEN AN OIL TREATMENT. SHE HAS LOVELY FULL BRUSH LASHES. LOWER LASHES ARE PAINTED, EYEBROWS ARE PAINTED BROWN, HER LIPS ARE A SHAPELY PAINTED CLOSED MOUTH WITH BLUSHED CHEEKS. KNEES, TOP OF HANDS AND ELBOWS ARE BLUSHED AS WELL. JANE HAS A VINTAGE JUMPER WITH PLAID BLOUSE, PANTIES, SHOES AND SOCKS ALL REPLACED AS SHE HAD LOST HER ORIGINAL CLOTHING.
