Madame Alexander Dolls

This listing is for a vintage. 1950s Madame Alexander LITTLE WOMEN AMY doll loop curls original fabric tag on back of dress at the neck. The doll is approx 14 tall. I think it may say “alex” on the back of her head? The Amy doll is in very good vintage condition with the light wear and patina you would expect in an item of this vintage. There is a slight bit of discoloration on her petticoat – see photo # 4 at the bottom of the petticoat to the right of center. I’ve also read that some of these dolls can be rather loosely strung – I don’t know if that is the case with this doll or not – her head stays upright when you hold her still but if you move her around (I don’t have a doll stand) it has a tendency to drop forward a little bit. I don’t have a lot of experience with dolls so please let me know if you have any questions. Please see all 12 photos several of which are taken on a 1 ruler grid for relative size purposes. Please look at the pictures I have included to judge the condition for yourself and let me know if you have any questions. Please note also , that the flash and close-up function of my camera shows all of the dust, etc. Which is not visible to the naked eye. It also magnifies any small scratches/scuff marks to many, many, many times their actual size. Also, any boxes / coins used for photography purposes are not included, unless other wise stated. Vintage 1940s Margaret OBrien 18 HP Doll By Madame Alexander, Orig. This hard plastic doll is in excellent condition. She has soft brown hair in bundled braids with bangs. She has green glass sleepy eyes, painted lower lashes, single stroke brows, rosy cheeks and a closed rosebud mouth. She has a full set of real lashes and her eyes open and close as they should. She is dressed in her original untagged dress. It is a blue cotton short sleeved dress with a sheer white organza pinafore. Underneath she is wearing a netted tutu type petticoat, white eyelet trimmed panties, white socks and black shoes. Origin of the hat and shoes is uncertain if original. She is marked ALEXANDER on her head. She has all of her fingers on both hands. She has no visible marks, cracks or blemishes. Her finish is super. She can stand and balance independently. We are pleased to present… “Queen Elizabeth” II, British Coronation doll. E II R Absolutely beautiful, hard plastic, (and vinyl over-sleeve arms) 21 inch tall , Cissy, “Queen Elizabeth”, coronation portrait doll , circa 1950s, (#2281) by Madame Alexander is getting quite difficult to find. She has beautiful, light brown hair in the original set with thick curls and has lovely blue, clear sleep eyes, perfect eyelashes, closed mouth and pierced ears. Her hard plastic body has the vinyl over-sleeve arms with joints at the elbows, shoulders, hips and knees as well as high-heel shaped feet and pink touches to knees. She wears her tagged: Cissy/Madame Alexander, long gold brocade , taffeta, tulle lined, Court gown with bustle train back, attached, “Order of the Garter” long blue sash with rhinestones, studded stones and pearls as well as her original lace trimmed taffeta panties, seamed long nylon stockings , gold satin high-heeled shoes, long gloves and three original, stone studded bracelets. And she wears her original, gold gem stone encrusted crown. Shown on page 53, Mme. Alexander Dolls 3rd edition-Mandeville. Her gown is crisp and clean without stains or fading. She has no cracks or breaks, no missing eyelashes, no fading or other marks and no odors as she is from a smoke free home. “Prince Philip” & other dolls are not included and will be listed separately. They don’t get much better than this!! Fabulous & rare in all original condition with the best composition I’ve seen in a while, no repaint or repair! There is no crazing on this doll. Clear brown sleep glass eyes with all their lashes. No rubs or discoloring on her Wendy face. Original, factory styled mohair wig. Clothes are crispy clean, dress is tagged and even in color, as my lighting is off. Lace trim hoop slip, lace trimmed pantaloons, green leather side snap shoes that still have their ornamental bows, rayon socks. Hat has a taffeta texture and has all the original flower appliques. She has ORIGINAL ELISE TOSCA BLONDE WIG with TIGHT CURL BANGS & CENTER STITCHED WIG. I added a VTG DOLL HAIRNET to hold her curls secure underneath her amazing veil. ELISE HAS VIVID ORIGINAL FACE COLOR: CORAL PINK LIPS, “FEVER CHEEKS”, SINGLE STROKE BROWS, & delicate under EYE LASHES. She has ORIGINAL IRIDESCENT “BLUE GOLD” CRYSTAL CLEAR SLEEP EYES with FULL ORIGINAL BRUSH LASHES. These Early Girls did not have nail color so her nails are “flesh color”. 1950s MADAME ALEXANDER QUEEN ELIZABETH DOLL MARGARET FACE. This vintage RARE Madame Alexander Coronation Queen doll is all original and never-played-with. She measures approximately 17 in height, and everything shes wearing is original to this doll. Her wig is minty, original and uncombed. Face color is vivid with nice red lips, and clear eyes with full lashes. Her HP body is in very nice condition and her walker mechanism works smoothly. There are some discoloration spots on her chest which is shown in the pictures. Her clothing has been gently laundered and is in good condition with the exception of a small hole along the bottom of her dress front. Also, her gloves show wear if you look closely.
