“Wendy Attending A House Party” #582- 1956. Green Eyes open and shut freely, original triple stitched wig in Auburn(red) braids tied with gold silk ribbons. Wendy is dressed in a tagged Brown polish cotton dress with a gold taffeta pinafore with lace trim at hem. White original scalloped embroidered half slip and panties to match(both have had elastic tighten). White rayon sock and brown side snap shoes with fuzzy bottoms. Original straw hat with gold chin strip(loose) and pink and purple flower on hat that match the pink and purple flowers in basket. I tied the basket(handbag) with a ribbon to keep it from getting lost. Wendy is marked Alex on her back.. Dress is tagged Alexander-kins & has darken from being on the dark brown dress. Description Offered in this listing is a beautiful 8 Madame Alexander Wendy Kins straight leg walker doll. She was my Mom’s doll and I can guarantee she was never played with. I recall my Mom saying her legs came off rather early (Mom had them put back on a few years ago) so she never played with her. Lucky for the doll because look at her gorgeous, high color face and perfect hair! She is from 1955 or 1956. She is completely original and dressed in a rare, hard to find fashion #488 “Wendy Ready for the Garden Party”. She is wearing her original lace bra and matching satin & lace undies that are near mint as are her original pink side snap shoes and white stockings. She has the dress, slip, pantaloons, and bonnet with silk flowers. The organza dress is very nice. It does have a moth hole in the front of the dress. The bodice also has wear/snags. They aren’t too bad and the dress still displays beautifully. The half slip is excellent, but the waist is stretched out and needs a pin. The pantaloons are perfect with very good elasticity. Her sleep eyes open and shut perfectly and the walk function works perfectly. All of my items are stored in a smoke and pet free environment. You are either happy with the item, or you are not.
