This is a vintage ballerina length gown made with gorgeous multi-colored striped taffeta. Subtle touches such as the piping at the armholes, neckline & waist show off the details of this well made gown. The v-neckline is punctuated with a lovely pink rhinestone brooch, and satin ribbon wraps around Cissy’s waist & ties in a bow. Closure is at the back with two snaps and two hook and eyes. This gown is in outstanding condition with no rips, holes or tears. Underneath Cissy wears vintage hosiery & a custom made for this dress! Pink taffeta slip with matching panties. Pink strappy sandals with pink rhinestone accents are on her feet. Cissy chose pink rhinestone jewelry to compliment her ensemble – matching earrings, bracelet & ring. Vintage 1950′s SLW Madame Alexander-kins Doll – Original Factory Dressed Doll– Gorgeous!!!! I’m not sure of her name but the hat popped up under “Wendy Adores a Party”? These dolls don’t look like they’ve ever had their clothes removed so I’m not going to undress them. This one is a gorgeous SLW with brunette hair that stands alone and head turns when the legs are moved. Her coloring is near perfect as you can see in the photos. Everything about her is crisp including her hat, dress, slip and underwear. Her slip and underwear may have turned color the slightest bit but not the dress, pinafore, or hat. Her tag is perfect as well as her black side snap velvet shoes with fuzzy bottoms. Please ask questions, I will be happy to provide additional photos. Don’t know if her original shoes. Good condition: never toys for kids, no smoking, no pets, no scratches, One earring. It’s not her pearl necklace. The hat is not included. Here today is a beautiful 20 inch Cissy doll wearing her Garden Party outfit made by Madame Alexander in 1956. Cissy has her original shiny blonde semi curly wig in its original set. She is marked on the back of her neck ALEXANDER. She is all original with no touch ups. Cissy has crystal clear open and close blue/green eyes, smokey eyeshadow, full set of hair eyelashes and painted lower lashes and perfect red painted lips. She has a very slight bit of blushed cheeks. I don’t see any unwanted marks on her face or body. She does have a tiny bit of a neck rub, not bad. Cissy still has the blush on her hands and knees. Her joints are in perfect condition with knees and arms bending easily with no splits or cracks. Her head is just a very tad bit wobbly but has no problems holding a pose. Cissy is wearing her original tagged Garden Party dress made of white organdy closing in the back with 4 original intact square snaps. As shown in the pictures there are some aging (yellowing) areas, mostly on the lower ruffle area. The dress other wise is in very nice condition with only one diagonal seam in the back lower ruffle area and a very tiny one in seam of the neckline ruffle that are missing some stitching, they are not tears and can easily be fixed. The dress has a beautiful organdy sash that ties into a bow in the back. Im not certain if the vintage pink cabbage roses are original to the dress. Cissy also wears the original white satin pantaloons with lace trim, the elastic has no more elasticity left. To complete her outfit is the original satin hoop slip, original nylon hosiery with back seams and her original gold tone strap high heels, that are in very good condition. The slip has a bend or a break in the back hoop so it flattens out a little in the back, the waists elastic also has no elasticity left. Her entire beautiful outfit appears to have been washed. With just a little bit of professional added blush Cissy would be absolutely stunning. She is in excellent very clean condition. Bright blue/ teal with pinkish velvet bow. Missing 1 rhinestone on front has 2 rhinestones on each sleeve. Overall it is in good shape. This is an estate find so I can not be sure on how many owners. The only real problem I see is in the shoulder area the seam is starting to come apart, and a few very small white spots that could very likely be cleaned but I’m leaving that up to the winner. Please understand that most of the items I sell are old/vintage and unless I specifically say BRAND NEW IN THE PACKAGE, expect there to be flaws, missing pieces, scratches, dings, dents, chips in paint, and more. 1955 Birthday Party Doll. She has shiny mint hair in tight curls and matte finish face with nice bright pink cheeks.. Her organdy dress is a rose pink with rick rack at the neck, the tag has been cut off. Over the dress is a lime green organdy apron with rick rack and multi flower trimming. She has a white cotton slip and crisp white taffeta undies. Her natural straw hat has a matching pink velvet ribbon and flowers. She has white socks and mint black fuzzy bottom side snap shoes. Her only flaw is a couple of small light age spots on the apron that are barely visible. So please remember this when leaving DSR ratings. “Wendy Attending A House Party” #582- 1956. Green Eyes open and shut freely, original triple stitched wig in Auburn(red) braids tied with gold silk ribbons. Wendy is dressed in a tagged Brown polish cotton dress with a gold taffeta pinafore with lace trim at hem. White original scalloped embroidered half slip and panties to match(both have had elastic tighten). White rayon sock and brown side snap shoes with fuzzy bottoms. Original straw hat with gold chin strip(loose) and pink and purple flower on hat that match the pink and purple flowers in basket. I tied the basket(handbag) with a ribbon to keep it from getting lost. Wendy is marked Alex on her back.. Dress is tagged Alexander-kins & has darken from being on the dark brown dress.
