Madame Alexander Dolls

1954-55 SLW Alexander-kin, wearing a colorful original tagged outfit. ? The doll is in excellent condition with a working walker, immaculate triple-stitched honey blonde hair with flip curls and bangs, soft bisque-like coloring, with rosy cheeks, red lips, painted brows, and blue sleep eyes that open and close easily. She does have a tiny nick in the corner of her left eye socket that may be a factory flaw, but never noticed this until yesterday. It certainly doesn’t distract from her overall appearance unless looking closely, but wanted to mention it. I’ve added a close up to show this and have reduced her price from my previous listing. This darling Alex is wearing a tagged fuchsia cotton school dress with puff sleeves and white rick rack trim on the sleeves and neck, under a floral printed pinafore trimmed in white rick rack that buttons in back with three white buttons. Under her dress are coordinating fuchsia bloomers (elastic a bit loose) and rare fuchsia fuzzy side-snap smooth-bottom shoes, and pink socks. On her head, she wears a woven straw hat with floral trim. Simply darling and ready to display! No odors, smoke free environment. Pictures are an important part of the description, so do inspect carefully. I will always do my best to describe these dolls to the best of my ability, but please ask questions if something is missing or you need more information.

This is our Madame Alexander-kin Wendy KIN BKW Bent Knee Walker Doll wearing a Brown Dress with Yellow Pinafore. She is just adorable! She is marked ALEX on her back. Her triple-stitched brown hair in pigtails is in nice condition with pretty ribbons and just a few little flyaways. She has pretty blue eyes that open and close as they should and pale cheek color. We did not want to undress her because she has been this way since purchasing her and even the tie in back looks real nice. It is as if she was not played with; just kept displayed. Her legs are a little bit loose so her walker is not fully working and we aren’t able to stand her by herself so we are sending her stand along with her to safely display her. We can pose her arms. Her body, arms and legs appear in nice condition with light marks or rubs on them. We have kept her carefully stored for some time. Her brown dress has a nice Alexander-kin tag on the back neck and is in nice, clean condition, but we found one seam in the front area which we are not sure is original from the factory (photos 13-14-15). It closes securely in back with two sets of signature square snaps. Her yellow pinafore with lace trim is in very nice, clean condition and fits over the dress perfectly. It stands up a bit in back from storing her so needs to relax. White grommets are nice. Her added underpants are clean but rather large and not in very good condition. Her earlier beige fuzzy bottom secure side snap shoes are in fair condition showing wear and some some separation at the backs. Added socks are in good condition with some light pulls or stretching. A really sweet Kin doll! This is a very cute 1953 Madame Alexander Kin Wendy Kin 8 Heavier Weight Doll that is Strung (a non-walker). She has Triple-Stitched Brown Hair with pretty Blue Eyes that open and close as they should. There are a few skips in her hairline stitching and a small area of back webbing showing (photo 22). She has a sweet face with pale cheeks. There is a tiny indent on the right side of her face just below her bangs and in line with her right eye (photo 17). Her lips may have some touch up but not sure. Her body is marked ALEX on the back. Her body, arms and legs are in good condition with some rubs and marks on them. Her legs are the heavier solid ones. Her right side body seam is more prominent than the left side (photos14 and 15). The lower leg areas show some scratches on them. She stands well and is a little sweetheart. Her very rare Kin Black Floral Pinafore over tagged Golden Yellow Dress. The dress is in nice, clean condition with some light wrinkling from storage. The Kin tag on the dress has some wear. It closes in the back with two sets of secure square snaps. Her gorgeous black pinafore has two metal grommets where the stringing goes through and ties in the back. It is in very nice, clean condition with a very slight detection of sunshine in the color from displaying it on a doll. Both pieces sit up so nicely on this Kin. Somehow, Madame Alexander had a way of making so many outfits be able to sit up on their own! Her added underpants are not original to the outfit but fit her well. She also has more current soft black smooth bottom side snap shoes in good condition withs some light rubs or marks on them. Her homemade white socks fit her snugly. A very rare outfitted 1953 heavier Kin that is not perfect but still quite beautiful! Pictured is a 7 1/2 Early Madame Alexander-kins Doll From 1953. She has the heavier body, her back is marked ALEX. She is a strung doll not a walker. She holds a pose quite well as you can see. There is a short seam separation on her neck, it does not detract from her beauty, please refer to the picture. She has red hair in the original curled, crunchy set, blue sleep eyes with molded and painted lower lashes, painted brows, a beautiful flawless complexion with very rosy cheeks & red lips. She is wearing her tagged, black flowered pinafore & pink cotton dress. She has her white petticoat & panties with matching lace trim, white socks & black velvet side snap shoes. 1941 Madame Alexander Jeannie Walker 13 1/2 Composition Blue Pinafore Dress. This Jeannie Walker has crazing over her body and some fine cracks on her face. Her color is quite good and her stringing still has good tension. No chips; normal wear at arm sockets, neck and fingertips. Paint wear at waist probably from doll stand. Mohair wig in good condition. Her dress is not tagged but is Madame Alexander quality – I believe it to be original. A blue pinafore with attached half slip, it is worn over a lace trimmed, dotted Swiss blouse. Original socks and hat. Dress is in nice, clean condition and may be just a touch lighter than it originally was. The beautiful blue floral pinafore is also in nice, clean condition with a little bit of fraying on ends to ties, a touch at one end seam, and a little bit of fabric starting to pull through one grommet (see photo 10). We also believe it may also be a touch lighter than it originally was but both pieces have even shading all over, so we aren’t totally sure. Do note that our camera does seem to make it seem a little darker than it is. As you can see on one of our own Kin dolls, it is really stunning on a Madame Alexander Wendy Kin doll which is why it is always difficult to find.
