Madame Alexander Dolls

1954-55 SLW Alexander-kin, wearing a colorful original tagged outfit. ? The doll is in excellent condition with a working walker, immaculate triple-stitched honey blonde hair with flip curls and bangs, soft bisque-like coloring, with rosy cheeks, red lips, painted brows, and blue sleep eyes that open and close easily. She does have a tiny nick in the corner of her left eye socket that may be a factory flaw, but never noticed this until yesterday. It certainly doesn’t distract from her overall appearance unless looking closely, but wanted to mention it. I’ve added a close up to show this and have reduced her price from my previous listing. This darling Alex is wearing a tagged fuchsia cotton school dress with puff sleeves and white rick rack trim on the sleeves and neck, under a floral printed pinafore trimmed in white rick rack that buttons in back with three white buttons. Under her dress are coordinating fuchsia bloomers (elastic a bit loose) and rare fuchsia fuzzy side-snap smooth-bottom shoes, and pink socks. On her head, she wears a woven straw hat with floral trim. Simply darling and ready to display! No odors, smoke free environment. Vintage 1954-55 Madame Alexander Cissy Doll In #2044 Navy with Bolero 1955 Dress and Bolero. This is a Madame Alexander Cissy that is in very good condition. She is just gorgeous! Her hair has been washed and restyled in its original curls which includes her original hairpins. Her hair has NOT been cut, it is styled in the bob curled style. Her hairpins can be removed but I will leave that up to the new owner so her curls stay in place. Both her head and arms have been restrung and she now does not have a floppy head. Her eyes open and close easily. She has all her original brush lashes. Her knees bend appropriately as shown in the photos. Both lock in place easily. Hands and knees have nice blush marks still present. She has no cracks or stress fractures or structural issues. She does have some paint missing on both legs at the upper inner thighs and around her neck area. Doll has no foul odors. Her dress is tagged appropriately and there are no holes. It snaps closed with five square snaps. Her bolero has the white snap ribbon and has no issues. I also do not have her original hat but have replaced it with a vintage straw hat that is similar to the one referenced in the stock photo provided. She is wearing full length nylons that are run free and stay up nicely. She also has appropriate black strap shoes that are not stretched. Her panties are original Cissy ivory taffeta lace lined. Doll has a replaced pearl necklace and she has a nice gold tone iridescent shiny stone ring. This doll would be a wonderful addition to add to your collection. She will come carefully packed, but NO doll stand will be provided. I have included a reference photo from the book Cissy Reference Rarities Restoration by Shaw on page 51.
