Note please jump down to NOTE first.. Vintage 14 Composition Madame Alexander SONJA HENIE Doll. This 14 tall Doll is ready to go skiing. Her outfit although not tagged I believe is an official Madame Alexander outfit including original skis and ski posts. The doll not sure who the maker is, maybe Effanbee, I bought her from the Madame Alexander collector thinking she was a Madame Alexander but later found out she is not. Hair is a removable wig please see photos. Thank you to the ebayer who explained this doll. Hi, This is a hard plastic, early- mid-50′s ARRANBEE [R&B] NANETTE doll. I believe the skiing ensemble is homemade except for the skis and poles. I own several Nanettes and other R&B. Is there a worn down “R&B” mark at the base of her head? … Can’t tell from photos. R&B didn’t use the Sonja Henie name in their marketing though they made many versions of skaters and skiers. Google the R&B Doll Reference for more accurate information.
