This is a charming 1956 Madame Alexander-kins Doll wearing her 1956 taffeta lace dress early Southern Belle outfit. She is in excellent condition with triple stitched tosca blonde. Wig in curl set, bright face coloring with brown brows, green brown eyes that open and close easily, black under lashes, pink blushed cheeks and bright red lips, no skip on lips. Her arms and legs are in excellent tightly strung condition and walker works. Alex is wearing her. Tagged taffeta lace gown, slip, pantaloons fuzzy bottom shoes, rayon socks and kins correct hat. Outfit is in clean never washed condition with very light ageing and comes all set to display. Delightful 1956 kins in lovely excellent condition. Smoke free home and Thanks for Looking. Vintage 1956 Madame Alexander Alexander-Kins Doll Southern Belles in Gown with Vintage Box. She is wearing a gown, slip, tagged panties, socks, fuzzy bottom shoes, a pearl necklace and a straw hat with flowers. She is carrying a bag. From a longtime collector’s advanced collection. Doll is in overall very good condition. Walking and bending mechanisms work. Her gown is beautiful, but it does not have a tag and there is a brown stain on the front bottom pictured. Slip is in good condition. Panties have minor age discoloration but otherwise good. Socks are in good condition. Shoes are also in good condition. They have very good coloring. However, the hat may be missing some flowers. Purse is also in vibrant condition other than the dangle piece. She comes with a vintage box. Box label has been removed. For your consideration is this beautiful vintage Madame Alexander. From 1954 in a tagged pale blue organdy lace trimmed gown with puff sleeves and white pearl like buttons in the back. Under her lovely gown is a very lovely pale pink taffeta half slip with pale light blue ribbon woven around through the lace trimming and matching pantaloons. Both slip and pantaloons fit her nicely around her waist with elastic that still holds up well. She wears her original rayon socks and black velvety side snap shoes with fuzzy bottoms. Her straw hat has florets on the side and is tied under her chin with a pale blue satin ribbon. This lovely doll is shown on page 28 of Patricia Smith’s book, World of Alexander-kins. ” There are other similar Southern Belle variations or “types, but the others usually have a crocheted hat. This doll in my pictures has the harder to find straw hat and longer sleeves. She has sweet bisque like color to her plastic and original facial coloring with pale eyebrows and very rosy cheeks. Even more special are her bright clear green-eyes and soft brunette curls. – She has a tiny beginning of a crack at the top of each leg at the hip inside the cavity. Her walker mechanism doesn’t work. Her dress, slip, pantaloons and socks were very gently cleaned to remove years of settling dust that came with her when she was sent to me. She is marked ALEX on her back and her gown is tagged Alexander kins. She is a SLW or straight leg walker with her original banding. Her eyes blink and sleep as shown. They don’t get much better than this!! Fabulous & rare in all original condition with the best composition I’ve seen in a while, no repaint or repair! There is no crazing on this doll. Clear brown sleep glass eyes with all their lashes. No rubs or discoloring on her Wendy face. Original, factory styled mohair wig. Clothes are crispy clean, dress is tagged and even in color, as my lighting is off. Lace trim hoop slip, lace trimmed pantaloons, green leather side snap shoes that still have their ornamental bows, rayon socks. Hat has a taffeta texture and has all the original flower appliques. This is Little Southern Girl #305 of 1953. She can be seen in Pat Smith’s World of Alexander-kins on Page 13. She is a straight leg non-walker. Her Tosca hair is in the original set, she has dark sleep eyes and lovely facial color. She has pink satin pantaloons with white lace trim and a pink ribbon through it. Her half slip is pink satin with white lace trim. Wendy has pink rayon socks and white side-snap shoes. Her dress is 3/4 length white organdy with tucks and lace trim. It ties in the back with pink satin ribbon. It is tagged Alexander-kins. The tag has darkened with age. It could also be tagged Madame Alexander. Her fine straw bonnet has several flowers on it and a white feather. It turns up in the back and ties with pink ribbon under the chin. She is 67 years old and doing well.
