Whether out to lunch with her girlfriends or tending to her garden, Cissy always seems ready for the camera! She’s wearing beautiful floral cotton. This is a very cute strapless dress, and it has lace trim at the top of the bodice, a black satin bow at center, and it closes at the back with two snaps. Underneath an attached crinoline gives the dress the fullness it needs, and Cissy is wearing ivory lace-trimmed panties, vintage hosiery & vintage black sandals. It’s waist length & fits her perfectly, and it has lovely beadwork at the neckline. She’s wearing her large “diamond” ring, has accessorized with black rhinestones… Teardrop earrings & a matching bracelet, and her “headband” and handbag each have floral bouquets, tying everything up in a beautiful bow! You don’t have to look too long to know that this Cissy is. Her gorgeous thick, auburn hair has curls at the crown and also at shoulder length. She had one high hip split which has been professionally repaired. Her features are lovely, her blush has been very lightly refreshed. Vintage, all original, Madame Alexander Cissy doll from 1950′s. Comes in original box. This was my mothers doll. My mother always kept her in the box. Personally I do not know very much about the Cissy dolls. I have taken lots of pictures to help with the description. Rosy cheeks, knees and hands. She is wearing a gorgeous tagged black lace negligee set with tiny pink ribbon rosettes. She has two pairs of black heels. The original pair and a pair my mother bought later. Her hair in in the original set but a little flat in the back from being in her box for so many years. There is a slight reddish tone at the back neckline of the robe. I don’t know why. I have pictured this. Her wig is glued so far down her head that I can’t see the marking. Her stringing is loose. There is a tiny spot on her face which could be glue. Also a slight seam separation on the inside of her right thigh which I have tried to picture. Box shows a lot of wear. I have mentioned every defect I can find for full disclosure. Up for sale is this 1950′s Madame Alexander Cissy doll. Her brunette wig is original with loads of curls and brass bar. She has lovely face coloring with aqua brown eyes that open and close freely with all of her black lashes, slight aging on the white parts of her eyes, pink natural cheeks with 1 tiny dot and bright coral red lips. Body is tightly strung, knees and arms bend. She has no seams splits, 2 light line on the back of her legs look like they came from vintage nylon seams. She has never been played with or undressed, see her perfect shoe ribbons, hairstyle and flowers, and bright white coloring of her tagged tutu and underslips. She has her original wrist string that held her wrist tag as well. Jointed hard plastic body with perfect blue sleep eyes and high facial coloring with red lips and cheeks, clothing is like new, with original Nina Ballerina Madame Alexander tag. She wears the winter white tutu with silver rickrack trim with flowers at the waist and shoulder and in her hair, pink satin ballet shoes with ribbons that have never been disturbed, and her original bloomers with snap back and attached second net slip. She has her original curls in her bangs and her hairstyle has not been disturbed. Sleep eyes open and close freely, she holds a pose well with her neck and arms. The only flaw I can see is a tiny paint rub on her upper left lip (see pictures), and the shoe ribbons have a tiny bit of fraying on the edge but still retain their factory placement. Her larger underslip also has silver rickrack trim, and her long tutu is factory-pleated and like new. She wears a little string of beads as well. I did not undress her as I don’t want to disturb her perfect outfit. Her original box still retains its Madame Alexander face label and is numbered Style 4015, checked white for color and blonde for hair and blue for eyes. Box has some light discoloration overall and some creasing along a couple of the bottom edges but is quite sturdy and has its original pink tissues inside. This rare near-mint example of this sweet doll would make a wonderful gift for the advanced collector. This is an extraordinary Madame Alexander Cissy from the 1950s. She is wearing a bright crisp Tagged & Rare Cissy Dress, crisp pink slip with full elastic and ric rac trim, straw hat with pink velvet florals, matching straw purse, gloves, sunglasses, cabbage rose shoes in handmade box, pink and green shoes she is wearing, nylons, and a matching tagged velvet coat, which includes a repair. Her jewelry consists of earrings, 2 bracelets, 2 rings. Cissy has full lashes, original blush, and a thick preferred dark brown wig. I could not find any flaws with her. She has a lovely peaches and cream complexion with original high color blushed cheeks, soft eye-shadow, three stroke arched brows, lashes etc. Her eyes are bright sapphire blue, her lashes are thick, full and long. Her auburn-red hair is pulled back in a lovely (I think original) set, with purple velvet bow at the top of her head, and hair pinned into a cluster of shiny, soft curls at the nape of her neck. Her crisply tagged gown has a VERY full gathered skirt with a couple layers of pink-lavender tulle and organdy underskirt. The MOST STUNNING thing about this Cissy, is the LONG cascading bouquet of PERFECT pink cabbage roses, nestled in off white velvet forget-me-nots, and matching flowers at her shoulders. She also has a taffeta petticoat (elastic waist still tight), and panties (elastic waist still tight), stockings (one stocking has a hole in the inner thy area), and pink heels. She also has pink finger-less gloves, and amethyst ring. She comes from a smoke and pet-free home, with no odors.
