This doll is amazing in every way. Her outfit, her face, wig, shoes, custom-made stand, and hard specialty box. Her sleep eyes work perfectly and she’s in excellent condition. Note – there is some faint fading of the box edge which is only noticed when the box lid is removed. The stand uses Swarovski-type crystal medallions. The doll is wrapped in tissue and stuffed to maintain dress fullness. I did not tie her into the box for this reason. She is ready to remove from tissue and display — stand is already attached. I love this doll set, and have one of my own — the last pic shows two dolls: one is mine (without the hand tag) next to yours (with the hand tag). Madame Alexander Doll Company has been creating beautifully crafted dolls since 1923. Through the years, the attention to detail and craftmanship has remained top priority while creating dolls based on beloved child hood characters. Bertha “Beatrice” Alexander Behrman (March 9, 1895 October 3, 1990) , known as Madame Alexander, was an American dollmaker. Founder and owner of the Alexander Doll Company in New York City for 65 years, she introduced new materials and innovative designs to create lifelike dolls based on famous people and characters in books, films, music, and art. Among her notable creations were the Scarlett O’Hara doll, the Dionne quintuplets dolls, and a 36-doll set of the royal family and their guests at the 1953 coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. During her stewardship, the company produced more than 5,000 dolls, many of which became collector’s items. Extremely rare 1 year doll, 1959 Miss Shari Lewis by Madame Alexander. Shari Lewis, the beloved ventriloquist puppeteer performer often appeared with her adorable puppet, Lambchop, on her television show that began in 1960. Shari’s original face, sculpted by Madame Alexander exclusively for the Shari Lewis doll, featured the signature upturned Shari Lewis nose. Her hair is shiny and stunning in the original style. This wonderful doll has the Cissy-style body with hard plastic torso, jointed bending knees, high heel feet, and soft vinyl arms. Please Note: The Doll Stand is Not Included. Also Please Note: The skirt appears slightly crooked in the photos because of the position of the doll stand clamps under the skirt. There is no flaw in the outfit, & it lies perfectly smoothly in reality. The original “Shari” tagged skirt is made from evenly colored brown satin fabric. The skirt is an authentic vintage factory-original tagged true “Shari”…. & it amazingly matches the color of her eyes & hair. A clue as to the originality of this doll’s colors are the doll’s scarcer-to-find brown eyes & gold belt. Other known examples of this doll wearing the emerald green outfit have her with blue eyes & a silver belt… Also with silver shoes, whereas this doll has gold shoes. This doll clearly struts a golden brown motif as opposed to the more common (but still scarce) silver green. Shari Lewis is being offered here in the RARE large 21 Size! She is wearing her RARE Tagged skirt in heavy nut-brown satin, gathered with snaps at waist & enhanced by pale yellow ruffled net lace & taffeta petticoat slip. The color of the skirt is a Very Vivid Color. Original corn yellow jersey blouse with button-down back (very minor slight discoloration spot on one upper side of arm of blouse) & pale yellow panties (panties’ elastic stretched but held in place by slip petticoat). Shari has Gorgeous High Matte Facial Coloring! Her facial coloring is Perfect! She has clear brown outfit matching sleep eyes that open and close with ease, all of her upper brush eyelashes, well defined features and a perfect mouth! Her red hair is in the original set… Original Wide Gold lame’ belt to cinch her waist and that fastens at the back (belt a bit wrinkled in back but still nice & secure). Lace net frilled slip, original panties, original full leg length seamed hose. Gold high heels with gold lame’ straps (the elastic on the straps hold tight & firmly). Original Green Ring on her left hand, cute original watch pin at waist, original green glass beads necklace, and original pearl drop earrings! She comes with the two gorgeous (as shown) possibly original hats! One has openwork brim with brown feathers & one with woven “straw” brim with matching brown ribbon & violets, etc. She came to us with these two hats & they both look great. Research has shown us 3 different outfits for this doll…. & ours now making a fourth known example! Everything on this doll guaranteed vintage original to this doll except possibly as-stated the hats and the slip & shoes…. Though they do match close enough to other researched examples. No one knows exactly how many outfit versions for this doll were made… The most common being the emerald green & yellow dresses. She truly looks like a Million Bucks strutting this scarce satin brown version!! RARE Original 2 sided Wrist Tag! Her body is in super hard-to-find MINTY condition and has no breaks, cracks or stains & securely tightly strung. A Very sought after and hard to find doll! A Vintage Madame Alexander Cissy Doll, she has blonde floss hair in a perfect bun, a real beauty. Her outfit is original and consists of the blue taffeta dress, matching blue taffeta bolero jacket, slip with layers, panties and nylons. Comes with original red heels with blue stones attached, tagged clothes that say Madame Alexander Doll Company. The straw hat is original with dried flowers surrounding the brim. Also included her cute dressy gloves. She has been stored in my curio for many, many year as dust and odors are not an issue. This is a vintage Madame Alexander Cissy Doll. She has decent hair and original clothing. Face looks pretty but has some stains. Dress also has many light yellowish stains and other issues. It is hard to photograph. She has slip, panties and stockings. She has great coloring and no cracks to her legs. One arm has discoloration. The beautiful Cissy doll. She’s a Madame Alexander Tagged 21 Inch hard plastic Cissy. She’s wearing a beautiful vintage pink dress and a vintage Richards pink and white rose bandeau. She is also wearing her original tagged chemis and gold strapped heels and stockings. She is in minty condition. She is strung tight from head to toe. She has full lashes on eyes that open and close as they should. She has no cracks, splits or odors. Her hair is thick and curly in its original set. Her dress is worn and has some areas that need mended on the lower back area. I put scotch tape on the areas that need sewed. Other than that this doll is a beauty. He eyes are cloudy. She has a hip and crotch split. Her dress is tagged. There are no tears in the skirt but I do see one at her right shoulder. No stockings or shoes. Her wgg is original but has fly aways and could be restyled.

Beautiful doll with uncut hair that needs to be restyled. Her eyes are greenish blue. She is a little pale in the face, bdy has nice color. No Knee or thigh splits.
