For your Collecting pleasure. FABULOUS matched pair of large , 16″ tall, “Susie Q” and Bobby Q”, labeled , stuffed cloth character dolls by Madame Alexander from the 1938 comic strip. Susie still has her complete sewn-in label on her clothing: “Susie Q”/Madame Alexander, New York. They each have huge, painted blue. Side-glancing (googly shaped) eyes glancing to each other and matching red , white and blue. Felt and cotton outfits complete with matching felt shoes with spats. These sweet faced, early cloth dolls each have their original yarn hair, (Susie has black hair with scalloped bangs and long braids and Bobby has curly brown hair). They each have comical expressions, molded pug noses, long eyelashes and rosy cheeks. They also have molded flat feet to stand and mitt-shaped hands with separate thumbs. Susie has red striped legs and Bobby has blue striped legs. She wears her red and white polka dot printed dress with attached white petticoat and panties and pleated organdy collar beneath her fitted blue felt jacket and Bobby wears similar blue felt jacket over his red and white polka dot shorts with attached white cotton shirt, undies and red and white tie. Both wear their white felt spats with three button closures over their black felt shoes. They are in very good condition with no stains, very minimal fading to Susie’s dress and no odors as they are from a smoke free home. Here is an extremely rare , signed Madame Alexander, hard plastic, “Margaret Ice Skater” , doll with original, pink taffeta, tagged skating dress with pink marabou & flower trim. She has the Margaret face and stands, 14 1/2 tall with lovely sleep blue eyes, perfect inset eyelashes as well as painted lower eyelashes, eyebrows and closed mouth. Her soft auburn, full wig is in the original set in curls with thick bangs and adorned with pink satin ribbon and flower trim. She wears matching pink satin ribbon and flower sash and wonderful matching pink taffeta trimmed panties and original gold ice skates. VERY RARE 35″ Madame Alexander Vinyl “Janie Playpal Doll From 1959 , Gorgeous Doll in Her original Outfit from 1959. Beautiful Doll gorgeous Coloring as seen in photo’s, which were all taken outside! Pen and close eyes all eyelashes. Her arms will only pose in high up position and down position as seen in photo’s, So arms move loosely. She will need a stand to stand. One leg is a little tighter moving then the other. She is 62 Years old so she has some Minor scuffing any fine scuffs can be helped with Magic eraser or fine sanding paper. She has some marks on her hinny as seen in photo 8 may come off with the Magic Eraser. I tried to get her dress off to take a photo of her front but as I tried her dress is 62 yrs old I put a small little tear with my finger in back of dress hidden by her hair as seen in last photo. So i figured leave well enough alone.. She is a Gorgeous Rare Doll with Beautiful , coloring and seems to be very well taken care of. VERY NICE TAGGED CISSY PINK STRIPED DRESS. This vintage Madame Alexander pink striped Cissy dress is clean, complete and in extremely nice vintage condition. All buttons and snaps are solidly in place and work well. This is the 1956 City Shopper dress for the 20 Cissy doll with black belt and neck bow (the belt is tattered). The dress is tagged, and included are the cancan-type petticoat and matching panties. The petticoat has some age staining, and the waist elastic is stretched. Let me know any questions. This is one of those times when pictures say a thousand words. Here is the Alexander Doll Company’s very rare yellow version of boxed extra item #22-60, the dotted Swiss tulle gown from 1959, also catalogued by FAO Schwarz as item #25-21-2. With an extremely critical eye, I must say this gown is in as near mint condition as mint can be – I reserve awarding that title only because it does not have its original box. This bright & crisply tagged gown has a cotton organdy underskirt; there is not a single spot of soiling or as much as a snag anywhere in either the organdy or the yards of overlaying tulle. Closure is at the back with four square snaps. Usually seen in the more familiar red version, both the yellow and the blue gowns are extremely rare and a favorite among collectors. Underneath Cissy is wearing vintage hosiery, and the gorgeous silk taffeta & tulle yellow slip (with matching original panties) is a perfect replica of the slip originally seen with this spectacular gown. Cissy is wearing a topaz set of rhinestone jewelry and an original Cissy “diamond” ring, and she carries yellow vintage gloves and an original vintage white & gold hatbox. Her vintage original gold sandals make the outfit complete! Cissy is exquisite, an early 1956 painted girl with gorgeous features, her blush & lip color have been lightly refreshed. She has a beautiful thick russet wig in the perfect style for the occasion, with curls at both the crown and nape of her neck. Her eyes are a literally spectacular ocean blue with full thick lashes. Up for your consideration is this extraordinary Cissy doll from 1958. She is affectionately called The Lady in Red She is absolutely stunning and has a bright beautiful color to her face however, she is not for the mint collector. She has gorgeous blue green eyes with all of her lashes. No cracks of any kind! I love her anyway as she just melted my heart. These dolls are so hard to come by and I hate to part with her but I have to downsize my collection! Her hair was also a mess and I believe that it has been restored beautifully! Her curls are held in place with Bobby pins as her wig was in fragile condition before her restoration. The red velvet bow had just disintegrated into her hair so she has a simple red bow in her hair now. She comes with replaced Swarovski pearl earrings and necklace. She Has a huge white slip under her gown which is had some red from her dress fade onto it making it look pink. The slip has stretched elastic as do her panties. Her nylons have A couple small blemishes on them and shes wearing replaced vintage silver shoes. I have never tried to do anything with the dress I believe it will clean up beautifully however, I will leave that up to the new owner. There are also a couple of other spots on the ballgown. She is so very gorgeous and is always the centerpiece of any collection! She will always put a smile on your face! She is extremely well adjusted and a very uplifting doll. She displays amazingly during the holidays and Valentines Day its almost like she glows! Please look at all the pictures as they are part of the description.
