Hard plastic socket head, jointed lady body with jointed vinyl arms, auburn hair, sleep eyes, painted and applied lashes, wears tagged navy blue taffeta fitted dropped waist and full skirt, bolero, taffeta and tulle petticoat, panty, hose, black high heel shoes. Commentary: Absolutely gorgeous face coloring, blushed hands and deep auburn hair, crisp costume. Hat and shoes are vintage replacements. Here is a very rare Madame Alexander composition doll. She is 17 1/2 inches tall. For price reference see page # 165 in the book,’Jan Foulke’s Guide To Dolls’ by Jan Foulke’s. WoW imagine, this doll is over 80 years old. She has her original wig; dress; slip; shoes & socks; and matching hat. Her body has a few problems; paint flaking on front and back of main torso; and a finish crack on her left hip joint – (see photos). She has very minor crazing. As I said this is a very rare doll.
