Vintage 1950′s Madame Alexander Cissy doll. Hard plastic with vinyl jointed arms. Brunette wig with side swept bangs, curls. Tagged tulle party gown with hat. Rhinestone drop earrings, necklace. White strappy high heels. Presented here is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She has a hard plastic jointed body with vinyl jointed arms. Medium brunette hair, the hair has a frizzy texture, styled nicely in curls, held with hair pins and hair net, side swept bangs. Sparkling green sleep eyes that open and close with thick hair lashes, painted under lashes, nice coloring, coral mouth, pierced ears with rhinestone drop earrings and wears a rhinestone necklace with clasp. There are a few light finish rubs in the joints and the neck under the head. Marked on the back of the head “ALEXANDER” under the hair. She is wearing her original tagged garden part gown. The gown has a full skirt of ivory color tulle, the tulle is over all excellent, a small tear on the side, there was a. Design in pink and green on the tulle which has mostly faded, it is sprinkled with small silk flowers and prong set rhinestones. The attached lining and underskirt is organdy. The dress is tagged Cissy, the label is faded but can be read on inspection. She wears a white muslin petticoat underneath with a wire hoop. The hat is fabulous, it is lavender with a woven wide brim, curved shape, covered with lilacs, flocked and velvet flowers, a tiny blue bird sits on the brim, comes with a hat pin. She has white lace panties and white plastic strappy high heel shoes. The listing is for the doll and clothes shown only, no stand. Vintage Madame Alexander Cissy 1950s Redhead Garden Party. Amazing pretty doll with a couple issues. Her wig is mint still in the net. Eyelash needs repaired but face color perfect. No cracks on this doll however her fingers on both hands but off ends needs repair. Outfit is original and complete. Yellow slip lost elasticity needs redone. Black strapped shoes loose straps. Dress is great except one small seam out on bodice to mend Yardley noticed it. Snap backed and tagged. Hat is all original. This wonderful Cissy has been cleaned, restrung to head and arms, a bit of blush added, new lashes, and her wig put back into its original style. This doll was a transitional doll and this is how she came with her original stringing, an infused body and a painted face. She has no earring holes, so Swarovski crystals were glued to her ears. She has a small hairline crack high up on the right leg, very thin and not seen. Her hips are tight as are her knees. Her arms are nice with no rips or tears. To accompany Cissy is her new garden party ensemble. This fabric reminded me of her original garden party dress that was painted with flowers. This is new fabric, not vintage. These flowers are embroidered on net fabric. I have added some silk pink flowers and prong set Swarovski crystals to the front of the dress, as the original dress had. The bodice is watermark taffeta with the netting overlayed and lined with organdy. All seams are finished. Bodice closes in the back with square snaps and hook and eye at the waist. The skirt has an underlayment of organdy and under that is a stiff nylon slip from a portrait doll. It fits perfect and gives a nice lift to the skirt. Cissy is also wearing vintage (not Cissy) satin panties, new nylons, new silver heels, new pearl necklace and bracelet, new gauntlet gloves, and a gorgeous hat by Richard’s Originals. She is ready for display! Please view them and chose the most convenient for you. Note: Because there are so many people doing repairs on these lovely dolls and I have been asked many questions, I would like to clarify a bit of the work I do. I have had training in plastic and composition repairs and have been doing them for many years. My spa treatments are done with solvent based paints that are air brushed on, the same that are used on plastic bumpers on cars. The paint is UV protected and is permanent and will not rub off. The paint is also sealed with a UV protectant sealer. It also is permanent and will not yellow or wash off. I remove the eyes through the neck opening and replace them back the same way once eyelash and eye repair is finished. I do NOT split the head open, nor would I recommend it. I try to always think of the long term effects of my repairs and fixes. As for the clothing I make, I try to make them as close to an original design as possible. I also try to use vintage 50′s fabrics as often as I can. If I do not, I will always state so. I do not photoshop or alter my pictures in any way. No smoke and mirrors, what you see is exactly what she is. Pictures are part of the description. This Cissy exemplifies why this Madame Alexander is considered “the fashion doll of the Century”. Nothing on this doll has been altered. Shiny beautiful shade of brunette wig in original up sweep do with original bar across crown of her head – pulled back into a thick ponytail at the nape of her neck. Lovely blue/green eyes with a light gray smokey eye shadow and full upper lashes. Classic red lip coloring. Blush retained on body in appropriate places.
