She is wearing the complete costume–which is tagged. `I remember looking for YEARS to find this doll—so is so scarce!! Gown seems to have been cleaned in some way not by me! , but is still nice and aqua in color. She has the rare wand and the harder to find headpiece. Her hair could use a bit of TLC, but is all there. THIS IS A CHOICE DOLL–sure to be your pride and joy. Very sweet–Grab it while you can! We are pleased to offer for sale this vintage absolutely adorable Rare Early 1955 Madame Alexander Kins Wendy Straight Legs Walker Strung doll. Series: WENDY is a Little Genius. Dress and Bonnet style. 1955 that is the only year the doll had no lower painted eyelashes. The tagged Little genius clothes came out in 1956. She still has nice coloring with red lips, nice lashes and curved brown eyebrows, face is slightly pale. She has dark blonde hair with some slight red touch and she is jointed at the neck, arms, legs, knees, eyes works well. Her body is a loose type. Maybe it will need a re-strung later. So far it’s still okay. Her walking mechanism works not perfect but okay most of the time. Sometimes her head may get stuck. However it’s still working somehow. Her back is signed ALEX for Madame Alexander authenticity. She wears original Madame Alexander very RARE tagged Little Genius outfit from 1956 with matching bonnet. Southern Edwardian style, also she wears cute. She wears Madame Alexander beautiful velvet shoes and white socks. She looks absolutely adorable. Her outfit may have some slight aging signs, otherwise it’s fine. Nobody played with this doll, however this doll was displayed by collector. The doll has good preowned condition.
