Madame Alexander Dolls

This is a fabulous find, fresh from an estate. Cissy doll by Madame Alexander, 20. She comes complete with nice wardrobe. This doll was not often played with as is evident by her wonderful condition. She had beautiful coloring and hair is in original set. She is wearing a red polished cotton MA tagged dress, panties, slip, seamed nylons and white shoes with red stones. Also wearing diamond earrings and a ring. There is one other tagged dress. It is bright yellow satin, with coat, panties and slip. There are many other pieces of clothing and shoes (see photos). They are not tagged but look professionally made. A couple of the outfits look home made but done extremely nicely. This is a large lot of vintage Madame Alexander dolls and clothes. This lot includes a boxed Cissette doll circa 1957 , 8 boxed outfits , a boxed Alexander-Kins doll , a loose Cissette dress , 2 pairs of shoes , 2 boxes of nylons and several hangers. The clothes that are in boxes may not be the same outfit that is listed on the box label. This is the way I found them. I’ve included 2 photos of the box ends with labels showing. Maybe you can get an idea of whats what by comparing box labels to the clothes that are displayed. Both dolls are in great condition , looking just about unplayed with. The clothes are in very good condition. In a few instances , the clothes have some minor stains or soiling from being stored for so long. The boxes are in good shape but some have taped corners , slightly loose plastic windows and age related darkening. I bought these from the original owner who had stored them for many years. She stands about 21 tall and is on a 5 piece hard plastic body with blue sleep eyes and full lashes. I see no splits at her knees or hips and she wears what seems to be her original wedding dress, very elegant! . The gown is made of a very full pleated tulle skirt and a lace overdress with a large satin bow in back. She also wears stockings and her original high heel shoes, also panties underneath the dress, the shoe elastic is stretched loose. There is a tag at her wrist which says “Created by Madame Alexander New York”. She has blonde hair pulled up on the sides and which is curled in back and she has a velvet bow in her hairdo. She has pierced ears with replaced “pearl” earrings and a replaced “pearl” necklace. She wears her original “diamond” ring. Her veil is original with silk flowers at the top, and her lace overdress has some thinner areas in the lace but is still very sturdy and is clean with no odors. The pleated tulle of her skirt has some replaced areas on each side due to some shattered areas and the color of the newer tulle is more white than the original, and she has some touchup color to her face and blush so she is not for the mint collector but is most likely still a very enjoyable doll for someone. Fabulous redhead in blue beach outfit w/hang tag & box. This Cissette is a stunning redhead with wonderful facial color to go with it. She is wearing a 1950s blue beach outfit and still retains the hang tag on her wrist. The photographs are her best description (the box has wear and the picture shows the worst section). Her blue print cotton outfit is crispy mint; however her hat and silver heels are not. She is as I got her in the box. Her heel and hat elastics have stretched, and the hat has a small hole by the metal piece. This hair color is so difficult to find, and she wears her original turquoise earrings. Complete set of Little Women by Madame Alexander. Includes Marmie, Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy. Approximately 14 inches tall. Sleep eyes in working order. In good condition, but there are some scuffs or dark marks on arms. Faces and wigs look really good. Beth’s joints feel a bit loose, but the rest of the dolls are tight. This is one of the prettiest Cissys we’ve ever been able to offer. She is all original, with no touch-ups, and tight original stringing. Her facial color is vibrant and lovely. She has beautiful blue eyes with all her eyelashes and no scratches on the eyelids. Her wig is tight to the head. And is a beautiful shade of dark blonde. The color is most accurately shown in the pictures showing the sides of her head. The hairdo is all original and just beautiful. This hairdo was used quite a lot and will go with everything from a street dress to a formal. There are no cracks, splits, or stains on her body. Cissy is just under 20″ tall, and is marked “Alexander on the back of her neck. She will look spectacular in anything you choose to dress her in!
