This is a stunning 1954-55 Madame Alexander-kins Doll. She is SLW Kins which means she is a straight leg walker. She is in super excellent condition with original blonde wig in original set, new ribbon, bright natural coloring with brown brows, light green eyes that open and close freely, no black under lashes, bright pink cheeks and red lips, no rubs or scuffs. Her body is in excellent condition with arms that will hold a pose and walker works. Wendy is wearing a beautiful tagged Alex-kins Maypole Outfit , great fuzzy bottom kins shoes with rayon socks. 20inch composition Wendy Ann made by Madame Alexander in the 1940s. This doll has clear brown sleep eyes with lashes and the extra makeup of a Portrait doll. Unfortunately she has fallen from her former glory and is in sad condition. The composition has heavy crazing, cracks and lifting, most predominately on the legs. As you can see she doesnt have a wig and her head has glue residue and damage where the wig should be. Features are vivid and complete. Eyes are sparkling, true blue. Being from 1957 or 1958, Cissy is made of pre-colored vinyl, a hard plastic that gives her a beautiful, creamy glow. Her arms are flexible vinyl that match extremely well. Her legs bend and hold positions. No splits, no scratches, no repairs, no repaint, no odors. In her ears Cissy wears original rhinestone earrings. Her wig is smooth and full. The ribbon is replaced but as the same age as Cissy. Lashes are long, full, and lush. Lids are not scratched. She’s a straight leg walker factory dressed in the costume most often attributed to 1953. The toy retail season is autumn to autumn, not January through December. In stunning, complete, crisp condition. No holes, no rips, no repairs, no repairs needed, no dust, no odors. Southern Girl has a beautiful complexion and vivid features. Her bonnet has never been removed and was left undisturbed. The rest of her wig is surely as glossy and flawless as what is seen. If you could peep under the bonnet, you’d see triple stitching on the part. Eyes blink as they should. Lids are not scraped. Her wrist tag is even perfect. Tied to her wrist with pink string. Her slip and pantalettes are crisp, candy pink taffeta. Her shoes are white “suede” with stitching and fuzzy soles. Elastic waist bands are snug. Body stringing is snug. The only “flaw” to describe are tiny, pale dots just under her right hand. The shape and location are just under the tips of her fingers, as if the plastic color was somehow transferred the fabric. She can be seen on page 31 of the Cissette book by Marjorie Merod. Cissette is in excellent condition with no splits, breaks, or stains in her plastic. She has very bright and beautiful original facial coloring. Her hair is beautiful and in its original set. Her dress is in excellent condition with no holes, stains, tears or odors. The lovely color pink is consistent throughout the dress and has not faded. The flowers on the dress and on the shawl are in great condition as well. Under the dress she wears a long pink slip in very good condition and a pair of perfect bloomers. Her stockings look to be in good condition with no runs that I can find and her shoes maintain some original stretch and are not overly stretched out. The silver on the bottom of the shoes has worn off in a few spots but you will never see it when she is standing up. Cissette completes this outfit with a beautiful hat, triple drop earrings and gold bracelet. The hat is beautiful with absolutely perfect flowers on top. Under the hat there is a very small mark that I noticed when picturing and wanted to mention. The earrings and bracelet are both in excellent condition. 1935 Madame Alexander Dionne Quintuplet 6 1/2″-7″ composition baby dolls in a nice old basket! Each doll wears a tagged sunsuit with matching bonnet! Clothing is in great shape for the age! Each doll is marked Alexander in raised letters on upper back! You will find wee spots of paint loss and a few tiny spots of crazing! This is a wonderful 1935 set of Dionne Quints composition baby dolls! Delightful and ready to display! I will send the old handmade doll quilt and old basket with the dolls! There are replacement pins for each doll in a tiny plastic bag! Please look at the photos! No reserves on my auctions! My items are mostly used and many are antique. This is one beautiful strung Alexander kins doll. This doll has the most beautiful hair and skin tone. Her hair is bright. Fiery red, with lots of shine and it is nice and tight to her head. Her overall skin tone is a beautiful and has a nice peachy undertone that you usually do not see. Her facial coloring is bright and beautiful. The only tiny flaw is one pin dot of color loss on her right cheek which is so hard to see but I did want to mention it.
