This is a 15″ Madame Alexander Disney “SLEEPING BEAUTY Elise style doll from 1959. She is the smaller version of the 1959 Disney 21 SLEEPING BEAUTY Cissy style doll. This doll is in excellent condition. She has high cheek color with gorgeous lips and blue eyes… Her lashes appear to be fine. Her golden yellow hair is still in original set with few flyaways. Her joints work properly and she has no cracks or splits in her body. Her body has a pretty uniform pink tone. She has her ring on finger. Doll does not look like she has been played with and has no offensive odors. She has been displayed in my glass doll cabinet for a while. This is a MADAME ALEXANDER ” Annabelle” using the Maggie face. She is from 1953 and is 17 inches tall. Her blonde hair is in its original set with the original ribbon. Her dress and sweater are in wonderful condition. No holes or stains to report. Shoes and socks are great and original too. Her stringing is good. Her face has lovely even coloring with some cheek coloring and the dolls eyes are wonderful with thick lashes which are all present (see photo). I think Madame Alexander created some of her best designs in the 1950′s. Beautiful vintage 1952 “Madame Alexander” “Walt Disney” “Snow White” “Margaret” faced doll. She is 18 inches high and hard plastic. She has a shiny black, glued-on wig in its original factory style. Sleep eyes with full lashes, and beautiful face paint. Movable head, arms and legs. She is wearing her complete original outfit consisting of her gown, metallic gold bodice, panties, socks and shoes. The gown is ivory background, with gold print, with full puffed sleeves, elastic at bottoms, fitted waist and very full skirt. It has an attached cotton petticoat, that is trimmed with lace. It snaps in the back. It is tagged Madame Alexander, Walt Disney, Snow White. The metallic gold bodice (vest) has attached collar that matches the gown, laces up the front with metallic gold cord. Cotton panties, trimmed with lace, that snap in the back. Knitted socks and metallic gold, front snap shoes. I have done my best to recreate her rhinestone tiara, rhinestone necklace with center teardrop pendant, glued-on rhinestone earrings and rhinestone bracelet, made from antique and vintage rhinestone pieces. I have added the ribbon to her hair and made her a nylon net petticoat, to make her skirt stand out nicely. She is in very good condition, her issues are: her eyes are shiny, but not the blue that they once were, there is light discoloration on the collar of the gold bodice and on the sleeves and bodice of dress. The print on the fabric is slightly faded in places. I have added new elastic to the bottoms of the puffed sleeves, there are a few very tiny holes in the sleeves near the elastic. The metallic gold fabric has split front and back of bodice, but it is backed with stiff cotton fabric and is stable. The cotton petticoat and panties are no longer as white as they once were, as well as the socks. The metallic gold shoes have worn to a silver look on some parts of them. From my own collection. Up for your consideration is a Vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll – 20. Tall with blue eyes and honey blond hair. She has been totally restored by Cissy expert Deborah Foster of. In 2016 and is in excellent condition. All joints work and are tight (so be careful when you pose her). This is what Deb had to say about my doll: This 1957 to mid-1959 Cissy is a color-infused doll. When dressed in the frilly gown, the back section of her hair is untied and worn in loose curls. Unfortunately, my Cissy does not have the beautiful, #2282 frilly white gown. But she does have an original black chemise. The chemise is in good shape with a few holes (please see photos). And a beautiful (marked Cissy/Madame Alexander) navy blue dress made of taffeta. The dress is in excellent condition without any damage. She also has a new crinoline half slip (the waist is too large so I used a safety pin to hold it up), and her original shoes that have been restored by me. I put new soles on the shoes. She comes with her earrings, black chemise, slip, blue dress, and shoes. Please see photos as they are part of the description. Although she has been restored, there are a few marks on the body as pointed out in the photos. Here are the things that Deb restored. Removed & reseated wig. Cleaned & styled wig. Touched up body paint. Blushed hands & knees. Repaired & finished knee and hip split. Removed eye paint, repainted, base, shadow, lashes, brows. Replaced lashes left eye. Removed & balanced eye rocker. For some reason, her eyes wont close, but all her lashes are there and her eyes are. Beautiful blue and the whites of her eyes white. CHRISTMAS MADNESS SALE, HUGE REDUCTION, HURRY HURRY! Lady Churchill Dressed for Queen Elizabeth I I Coronation. Her body is in excellent condition. I will upload two pictures of her undressed later. Her dress is superb and her coat has all its Rhinestones. There is some staining along on the length, but its in the billowing folds and truly I never see. Where the coat is folded back (camera right), theres another tiny stain, but again hidden by the factory intended flap. Her face is a vision and no repaint. Such gorgeous blue eyes on a beautiful Margaret face. One spoke of her tiara has broken off, but DOES NOT effect it standing upright. The fabric is gorgeous silk satin and is exactly as the pictures. She can be seen on page 31 of the Cissette book by Marjorie Merod. Cissette is in excellent condition with no splits, breaks, or stains in her plastic. She has very bright and beautiful original facial coloring. Her hair is beautiful and in its original set. Her dress is in excellent condition with no holes, stains, tears or odors. The lovely color pink is consistent throughout the dress and has not faded. The flowers on the dress and on the shawl are in great condition as well. Under the dress she wears a long pink slip in very good condition and a pair of perfect bloomers. Her stockings look to be in good condition with no runs that I can find and her shoes maintain some original stretch and are not overly stretched out. The silver on the bottom of the shoes has worn off in a few spots but you will never see it when she is standing up. Cissette completes this outfit with a beautiful hat, triple drop earrings and gold bracelet. The hat is beautiful with absolutely perfect flowers on top. Under the hat there is a very small mark that I noticed when picturing and wanted to mention. The earrings and bracelet are both in excellent condition. Of all the MD creations, Cissy has remained, since the 50′s, the doll most treasured, the most loved, and the most sought after. This lovely Cissy is in excellent condition, there are no splits or cracks in the plastic. She is really in exceptional condition, very beautiful. Her eyes open and close easily. There is no lovelier face created for a doll. Please note: upon inspecting enlarged photos of Cissy, it appears that there was a freshening of her original painted lashes (in photos you see the new painted lashes over the faded old ones). This is how the doll came to me, she looks wonderful, and if this is a redo, then it is well done.
