Madame Alexander Dolls

Vintage c 1957 Madame Alexander 16 dolls. Hard plastic with vinyl arms. Jointed elbows, knees, ankles, sleep eyes. I believe that both are “Elise”. I think the blond doll came wth the bride outfit, which is no longer available. She is wearing a “pearl ” necklace and has pinkish/red lips. I believe that the brunette doll came in a bridesmaid gown. She is wearing a jeweled necklace and has peachy/pink lips. Both are marked MME ALEXANDER on their backs and Alexander on the back of their heads. Both are very pretty and have greenish blue eyes and are in good condition. The brunette’s hair is a bit messy. Included with these two beautiful dolls are 5 outfits and several miscellaneous items, described below. 1 Red v-neck cotton jumper (day dress) with Elise tag; white dotted swiss blouse with peter pan collar, puffed sleeves, 3 buttons on front for decoration, stockings – excellent condition. 2 Lavender dotted swiss day dress with puff sleeves , lace trim, Elise tag- excellent condition. 3 Black velvet pants with gold waistband and Elise Tag, lace blouse, sash Toreador outfit? 4 Blue velvet pants with gold waistband (no tag), lace blouse, sash (missing gold button on it) – excellent condition, other than no tag and missing little decorative gold button. 5 Pale pink bridesmaid dress with Elise tag. It is partially discolored and the fragile outer layer is torn in a few places. The sheer puff sleeves are all but fallen off and are tucked behind in this photo. They could be removed, easily turning the dress into sleeveless with lace trim, as shown in the photo. There is a pale pink petticoat, which has stretched out elastic. She is wearing panties that may or may not have been part of this outfit. Despite the condition, this is still a pretty dress. There is a floral head band piece that I think may go with it. 3 pair of silver heeled sandals with stretched elastic. 1 pair black flat shoes – a bit beat up, one is missing a bow, but snaps are still there and are working. A sheer white petticoat, in good condition, which may have been part of bride outfit. Pair of panties (linen or cotton) with stretched elastic. Not sure what size doll they fit. An outfit (no tag) for a doll larger than the 16 Elise. Darker pink taffeta strapless under dress with a pale pink gown over it with daisy trim, pink head ring, stockings with stretched elastic, panties with side. Snap, rather than elastic. This beautiful 1953 Madame Alexander doll is Binnie Walker. She was stored away and never played with. She is pre-Cissy, but has the same face as Cissy. She has no flaws, and has beautiful facial coloring, her blue eyes open and close freely, and she has thick lashes, with none missing. Her walking mechanism is in excellent condition. Her original gown is wonderful. It is violet in color and made of satin and layers of netting, with sprigs of old flocked flowers. Her straw hat is trimmed with velvet ribbon and flowers, and she carries a wonderful beaded bag. She also has on her panties, nylons, flocked shoes, a pearl necklace and bracelet. She wears an original outfit which is in good condition without rips or tears. However, the front of the dress is. She wears a cute feathered red felt cap. Her hair is in beautiful unplayed with condition and her face and body are without flaws, gouges, or paint chips. She wears shoes which could be original. The right skate needs a bit of glue to adhere the blade to the underside front of the skate. Tightly strung and in great shape, this doll would be a nice addition to the mid 20th century collector. This doll has the FACE OF AN ANGEL… !!! I can’t believe i’m even thinking of letting her go. She’s all original with taffeta dress with very full skirt, white eyelet apron/ pinafore and matching eyelet half slip & original lace trimmed panties. She comes wearing top-stitched shoes in overall good condtion for their age. Doll’s original hairbow is blue and her dress must have originally been a pastel blue. But over time the taffeta material has turned to a beautiful shade of lavender. I can see that the stitching on dress is blue. She’s a walker and her walking mechanism works smoothly. The only imperfection is some dye loss on the back of her dress. She has her shoes but I forgot how to put them on. She has original earrings, bracelet, necklace and stockings.
