She has lovely facial painting with rosy cheeks, full lips, and nice brown eyelashes and brows. Her body is free of stains or cracks and she has a lovely even skin tone. She is tightly strung and can stand freely with out a stand. She comes wearing organdy bloomers and top stitch black shoes. Her box is in fair condition and does show its age it is labeled 323 and has some old writing on it. All together she is such a beautiful doll that would look good displayed with her box or dressed. One of the most beautiful Madame Alexander dolls made in 2000. Courtyard is a precious Wendy doll dressed in her Royal Court finest. She is dressed in layers of pastel colored silk like fabric, with delicate ribbons and embroidered accents. She wears a full length gown with layers of tulle and tucked skirts. Soft striped fabric peeks from under the layers. She has puffed sleeves and fringe. The dress is finished off with an embroidered corset that laces up in the back. Courtyard has lovely light blonde hair in ringlets, with the prettiest floral crown with a big oversized light pink ribbon. Her look is completed with a pearl necklace. The pantaloons match the fabric of the dress, and she has white tights. Her shoes are absolutely gorgeous little French confections in satin with gold buckles. The box is the special heritage edition box that is very heavy weight with a shoebox lid and in excellent condition! This doll is very rare. There were only 1000 pieces made. Madame Alexander (Cissy Violet) 20 Doll circa 1950′s. This doll is dressed in a lavender. Butterfly print dress with purple velvet trim, a purple straw hat with flowers and a netting tie, lavender high heels, a small rectangular clear plastic box with flowers inside attached to her wrist, embossed cream petticoat, white under panties, nylon stockings, and she is wearing rhinestone earrings. ID tag on her underskirt says “Cissy” by Madame Alexander. She has jointed legs, her arms and neck move. She has blonde hair with blue eyes and dark eye lashes. I received her as a gift in 1959 and she sat on a shelf until 1965 at which time she was put away until recently when I took her out and decided to sell her. She was never played with and is in Good Condition however the the doll does not come with the original box. Here today is a gorgeous vintage red haired Cissy doll made in the 1950′s by Madame Alexander. Cissy is marked at the base of her neck in the back ALEXANDER. She has very even skin tone with no discoloration, no fading and no unwanted marks. Cissy is so so so gorgeous with beautiful shinny red curly hair, crystal clear blue open and close eyes (no yellowing on the whites of her eyes), a full set of black hair eyelashes (none missing or damaged), painted lower lashes, stroked painted brown eyebrows, beautiful blushed cheeks and tiny pink painted lips. I don’t see any imperfections at all with her face. I see no signs at all of any enhancements or makeovers, I believe she is all natural and original. I have not cleaned her so there could be some light dust on her. The only imperfection I can find with Cissy is she has the start of a leg split at the top of one leg, please see the picture. I know nothing of the mechanics of Cissy’s body but her head seems to not want to stay tilted upwards real good, maybe she needs an adjustment. Cissy’s gorgeous red hair is in excellent condition with lots of curls that probably could use a styling even though it looks darling and wonderful to me, but Im not a Cissy collector. Included with Cissy is a tagged lavender taffeta dress that has no stains, no fading and no holes but there is a couple a places at the waist where the pleat has come loose, maybe there were originally flowers in those areas? Also it looks like there is a remnant of a flower at the neckline. The dress closes in the back with 4 original intact snaps. I don’t believe the dress has ever been washed but it does need pressing. Cissy came with this very nice rhinestone necklace but Im uncertain if it belongs to her. With the exception of the leg issue Cissy is in excellent excellent condition that would make a lovely addition to a Madame Alexander doll collection. Thanks for taking a look and God Bless.
