1954 straight leg walker with a triple stitch wig in a flip. Her walker works great- and she is strung well. No problems with her body – cracks or stains, etc. Stands on her own and holds position. Her face coloring is very very nice. Her outfit is excellent and tagged. There are a few tiny spots on dress near hem as shown in pictures. No moth holes in hat or jacket – all buttons, snaps and studs are in place and work. She carries a yellow purse with vintage flowers. Her socks are rayon and her black velvet side snap shoes have fuzzy bottoms. Very nice and excellent doll. This item will be insured. This is a really interesting ensemble for Cissy from 1955. It’s the HTF Taffeta Raincoat with Hat in chartreuse checks, with the matching dress. The raincoat and hat were a boxed extra from 1955, and the dress was also a boxed extra from that year. You can see both in Kiley Shaw’s “The Cissy Files” on p. 56 (dress) and on p. The outfit is in very good condition with no stains, tears, or damage. The very top of the hat has a very faint spot that is hard to see, but wanted to mention. The dress is shown in the book with a black belt and it says there are belt loops on the dress. This dress didn’t have the belt, but there are no belt loops at the waist either making me think there was never a belt with this particular dress. The whole outfit looks just gorgeous together and would display wonderfully on your Cissy. I’ve listed other Cissy items you might also want to see. It is trimmed with rickrack at the rounded nickline and also has 2 rows of rickrack at the hemline. It can be seen in Kiley Shaw’s “The Cissy Files” on p 84. It saws that there were an array of fabrics used in 1956 and that these dresses are either HTF or Rare and were Boxed Extras this year. This exact dress is prominently featured in the book. The color is a beautiful blue with little darker blue flowers. It is in very good, gently played with condition. The colors are bright and beautiful and there are no holes or stains and the fabric sits out beautifully. There was a repair on the center buttonhole (third buttonhole from the top), but this is not seen when the self-tie is tied over it. It is hard to see, even when the bow isn’t tied. 20″ hard plastic fifties vintage Cissy doll redhead with untouched hair, high color beautiful face, “diamond earrings, her original MA velvet formal jacket with ribbon and floral trim. She is missing the original white sleeveless organdy shirt.. And her skirt is a replacement Madame Alexander Cissy skirt with slightly loose elastic at the waist. There is a MA full underslip to give full poufy body to the pleated skirt. She is wearing replacement stockings and shoes and there is a hole in one foot of the stockings. She has a small thigh split and tiny, inside the body top splits on the legs.. She has a diamond ring and a glorious, extra “modern” evening dress with a confection of tulle gathers and a silky underskirt. MA Vintage Cissy Doll Nude. Cissy has fantastic turquoise color eyes (check out pictures), her hair is clean and shiny, very thick and full of curls galore!! I would say Cissy’s color of hair to be a honey blonde, having no bald spots or discoloration, lashes are almost perfect. You would need to lay Cissy down on her back, so that when she closes her eyes, you will be able to see an small area of lashes that are a little bit shorter than the rest, none are missing (please reference picture). This Cissy girl has the molded body painted pink as were the earliest Cissy dolls manufactured in the 1950′s. Cissy is able to pose any way you would like for her to. Cissy has the pink blushing on both hands and both knees, no tears in her rubber arms, no fractures on her knees or neck area, however, she does have one smaller size split on her upper left leg up in the body cavity (please reference picture) tucked way up, not easily seen! Cissy does not sport pierced ears because they were not available on the earlier Cissy girl dolls. This vintage Cissy doll is one that you do not want to miss out on. Your will love her.
