The Best Of Both Worlds! This spectacular Cissy is a rare one… She is the Waltz Doll manufactured only in 1955, and the ONLY Cissy to ever have this gorgeous wig. She’s wearing a very rare day dress, FAO’s #26-3. This crisply tagged cotton dress has a flattering square neckline, puffed sleeves, and a slightly dropped waist giving way to a beautiful full skirt. Rhinestones are sprinkled on the bodice… Just the right touch of bling! There is one small fabric flaw on the right side of the dress in the wide yellow band of fabric; a very small strip appears a minuscule lighter than the rest of the band. I attempted to photograph this & it doesn’t show up in pictures, and of course it’s impossible to detect on display. The dress fastens at the back with four square snaps, and is near mint with no spots, stains, holes, rips or tears. Underneath Cissy wears orignal white panties, a custom made ric-rac trimmed white can-can slip, and vintage hosiery. Her sparkling purple sandals accent beautifully! Cissy carries vintage purple gloves & an original MA hatbox with the Fashion Academy Award medal. And oh, that fascinator! Could anything be any more perfectly suited to her look? This extraordinary Cissy is the ONLY Cissy able to lay claim to this stunning light brown wig with the longer bangs & long, full curls at the back. This gorgeous girl has beautiful features, and she is ALL ORIGINAL, with no refreshing of paint. She is in excellent condition. She is an early strung doll. Included is her original box and hard to find hang tag. Her dress is a bit soiled from storage. I must also note that her panties and slip have a stain from a metal stand she was stored with. She is tightly strung and can hold a pose. She is missing her original shoes. This is a tagged yellow wreath dress fo polished cotton with a pattern of white flowers and floral wreaths with a square neckline, puffed sleeves and yellow satin sash that ties into a large bow at back.. In the book, ” The Cissy Files”. By Kiley Shaw, this dress is listed as Hard to Find and from 1957, however this gown came with the FAO Schwarz Royal Tour Trousseau Trunk Set from 1960 which was a One Owner Set. This dress is also pictured in this month’s UFDC Doll News magazine. It is in Pristine Mint Condition, Vivid Color, Clean, Crisp with a crisp tag, even retains the original sizing. It does have one small age spot near the end of the satin tie which is pictured for you.. I doubt it was ever played with. All of the extra clothes with this set are in Mint Pristine Condition. This is a tagged Fancy Fuchsia taffeta coat with a unique ruffled shawl collar. In the book, ” The Cissy Files”, by Kiley Shaw, this coat is listed as RARE and from 1960, this coat came with the FAO Schwarz Royal Tour Trousseau Trunk Set from 1960 which was a One Owner Set. It is pictured in the book with a flower, however this coat does not have a flower and there is no evidence that one ever existed. It is simply Stunning!!
